We chose Hockeys as we were not pleased with our first choice of agent and certainly did not regret this decision. All the staff are polite and we were given great advice on how to best market our house. It was good to use a local company.
Thanks to Jeremey Trot and all of your team. Everyone involved in the sale was as professional and conscientious as could be in what could have been a very difficult time. Special thanks must go to Alex, who may now understand a lot more about both Geordies and our own special language. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is in the market to buy or sell a property. Finally let me thank you all again for all your professionalism and efforts in securing me a very good sale. Regards ,John McCarthy.
When I first contacted Hockeys Jeremy came out to meet me at a convenient time. He was sympathetic to the fact that I was selling the property on behalf of my elderly mother and we were in a state of flux.. He was not pushy and did not appear to be following a script.. The commission was 1%, better than many, and he set the sale price at a realistic level. I decided to use Hockeys and again Jeremy was there promptly, took photographs and the property was on all the major sites that evening. An Open House was held and I got regular telephone and email updates. Further support was in place after a sale was (speedily) agreed and Joe ensured I was informed of the progress.. The whole process was made as pain free as possible and I feel I made the right choice of Estate Agent. Although selling a house
Kept in the dark and given false information whilst our buyer was being shown our neighbours property, which was also marketed by Hockeys of Willingham. This was over a 6 day period whilst two offers were being considered by them. Unfortunately they failed to inform us until their second offer was accepted and we had repeatedly contacted Hockeys to ask why a survey had not been done? Reassured and in good faith we spent considerable sums of money on surveys and searches on our purchase......... When asked why we were not informed- apparently it was difficult to tell us ........so they didn't!! It appears you cannot expect upfront honesty and trust with this agent........ very bad experience!

UnknownHockeys heritage is unquestionable. Established in Cambridge in 1885 by William T. Hockey, the firm has been selling homes in the city and surrounding villages for over 130 years. You will find that our staff are as people-motivated as they are sales-motivated and we will take the time to get to know our clients, their property and their aspirations. Of course, if you are selling your home through us then our main priority is to put all our efforts into achieving a smooth sale and at the best price. If you are buying a property through us we appreciate that the process can be occasionally stressful, so we hope you will welcome some time and advice from us along the way. The sale or purchase of your home is not just another transaction to you - and neither is it to us.
