A terrible estate agent, with terrible practices. Awful people, wouldn't ever recommend someone to use them.

Very very poor team . The team here is rude and not helpful at all specially the property management team . Sydney specifically has been mean and rude in conversation and doesn’t listen . I was handed over wrong keys . For that I had to pay £36 for 30 min extra wait time to get the right keys . Also I was just given 1 set of key when I asked for another I was told you have to get it made on your own . Infact reasoning given was you live alone why do you need spare keys . If you are locked out yiu can’t access the apartment . What if I loose 1 keys . I want to keep 1 set outside the apartment hidden ofcourse I wouldn’t tell her where I am keeping them . Sydney’s reasoning is we don’t provide spare keys to keep back up with friends or families . Pan london and surrey I have movers in 4 different apartments everywhere I was given 2 set always. She is the worst person I have ever spoken to and not helpful in sorting issues at all infact she flares it up Overall staff is not helpful and keeps passing to each other and communication amongst them is poor Also the inventory wasn’t checked properly . The meter readings were not done . The oven is still dirty and smelly and so is the washing machine . The plug points not working . Heating not working . I have just moved to Brighton and already so stressed with all the behaviour of the staff and poorly maintained property . It’s sad to see people are so poor in behaviour here .

Very unprofessional service. They have cancelled our flat viewing twice - once with a half hour notice when we were already on our way, and the other time they sent a cancellation email late the night before, which when we called to enquire what’s going on, we were told the agent’s car has broken down. Not a very believable story when the cancellation came through the day before. They did not offer any other date or time for us to have the viewing, even when we asked if that might be possible. They clearly don’t care about their potential clients so I wouldn’t recommend working with them

Don´t use this company at all costs! I rented an expensive property full of defects and about 7 months into the rental, I was still having new problems on a daily basis even though they promised whatever "little improvements" that needed to be done were going to be done within a week or two. I had builders every week fixing the bathrooms, shower, they left rubbish everywhere, sometimes I had people coming into my flat unannounced, the radiators didn't work etc, it was an absolute ordeal. They don't deserve your money, if you find a property you like you will see it advertised with one of their competitors too. Go there instead.

Thank you for your review Daniel and sorry you feel you had such a bad experience renting through Mishon Mackay. I have been able to review the file and can see you certainly had a lot of maintenance whilst you were residing in the property; however it looks as through all of which was unavoidable and dealt with in a timely manner. We do apologies that the work in the bathroom took longer than expected and are grateful for your patience. I can see regular updates were provided to you and everything you reported was actioned included the new radiators in both bedrooms. I am sorry that the contractors sometimes failed to notify of their visit and left rubbish on site, this is very unusual for the firm I know completed most of the work, but we will be sure to raise your dissatisfaction with them as well.

Arranged to view a property to buy with Samin Got a viewing confirmation the evening before. The morning of the viewing called 1 hour before that just to say the property has been sold. How that can be possible if the evening before this guy asked to confirm the viewing ? He should have got an amazing offer early in the morning, pass it to the vendor and accept it in a matter of a hour ??? He could have honored the viewing and pass my offer as well. He has decided to dishonor our agreement and the agency is working for. Utterly unprofessional and unreliable. Why Mishon Mackay is still employing this guy ?

Hi there I'm sorry that you have had to post such a negative review on our Brighton Office. I've tried to look into the points you have raised but I'm afraid that I can't find your details on our system, at least with the details you have used to post this review. Could you let me know how we might have you registered on our database so that I can see what has happened? Thanks Steve Neocleous

Beware buyers: This estate agent misleads customers on important legal matters, which cost me considerable time, energy and money. I viewed an apartment with the Seven Dials office of Mishon Mackay (Hove). I asked specifically whether the apartment's hardwood floor (with which the agency advertised the flat) were legally sound in terms of the lease. I stressed that this is important as my partner has strong allergies and I am looking for a place with hard wood flooring. I was aware that more and more flats are being sold with hard wood flooring even though this is not allowed per the lease. The agent claimed that the hard wood floors were all fine in terms of the lease. I consequently made an offer on the place. But once my solicitor got insight into the legal details, it turned out that the lease mandates that all floors need be carpeted. This is stated in a central place in the lease agreement and cannot be missed. Mishon Mackay nevertheless tried to pressure me into buying the flat. According to them, the clause "all floors need be carpeted" does not mean that all floors need be carpeted. But that is of course not true. My solicitor was very clear: the hardwood floors are in direct breach of the lease and need be changed once anyone complains about noise. Mishon Mackay then failed to get retrospective consent from the landlord for the hardwood floors. All they got was a short email saying that the floors are ok as long as no one complains, but that a court would likely decide against the current state of the flat. Mishon Mackay then tried to portray this as a normal thing, stating that they could not have possibly known about the details of the lease. This is both of course untrue as well. Other agencies that I have been dealing with either told me that the floors need be carpeted or looked into the lease details before confirming whether the floors need carpeting or not. I finally decided to pull out of the sale because I never made an offer on a property that is in clear breach of the lease. In the course of this I lost money for a homebuyer report, legal searches, and a mortgage application, let alone my headache over this and wasted time. And all this simply because of the dishonesty of Mishon Mackay that seem to privilege a quick sale over legally sound procedure.NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value
