I was really anxious starting to look for a new place as in the eight years I lived in the UK, I didn't have the best experiences whilst renting. For a few years now I lived in a place that was making me more and more miserable with each passing year, yet I stuck around because as the saying goes: "Better the devil you know than the devil you don't." The boiling point eventually hit, not only for myself but also for my closest friend, so we decided to look for a new place together. Not a shared house, preferably via agency. And during our search, we stumbled upon a property managed by Reeds. And Dear Reader, when I tell you, that I have never dealt with a team showing such professionalism, care, patience and helpfulness, I truly mean it - from the initial viewing until the handover of keys (and hopefully beyond). Sure, the vetting process and paperwork were stressful and anxiety-inducing, but none was caused by the Reeds team. In fact, I got an immense sense of "We are in good hands, these guys are serious!" And not only serious. Every member of the team I exchanged emails with or dealt with in person was just the most pleasant person. All the folks there are incredibly attentive, helpful and quick to respond to any query of the silliest degree with candour and guidance. "Patience is a virtue," and by this logic, Phil Simpson is the most virtuous person ever having to deal with me and my friend, as we haven't made his life easy due to various setbacks and misunderstandings. He stuck with us and put his trust in us. Now, thanks to him we are about to have a much-needed upgrade to our daily lives. Right off the bat one of the best experiences I had dealing with anybody, company-wise especially. Now, here's hoping, this good experience will continue during our tenancy :)

I must say that after a few months living in my rental property which was rented through Reeds Rains, that they are honestly a really good estate agent. I have had several negative experiences in the past when it came to enquiring about properties and getting paperwork done, and even dealing with issues once moved into a house, but so far all I have experienced with Reeds Rains is positive. All I have to do is send a single email to my Reeds Rains rep and within an hour during working hours I have solutions presented to me to help fix whatever the issue is. They are easy to get hold of and they have not given us any issues throughout our time here so far. When the time comes, me and my family are going to be happy to sign another contract with Reeds Rains because we have had nothing but positive experiences, even if we have had any issues to resolve. Due to living over 300 miles North I was unable to self manage my rental property in Padiham. I had gone initially with another property manager in Burnley but they were seriously lacking in keeping me informed and didn't return my calls whilst also telling me they were on annual leave.
