They are scammers. Beware of this company. They rented me a house with no hot water. It took them over a month to fix. Then, when I complained about the multiple disrepairs, these cretins had me evicted. On top of that, they had the audacity to claim my full deposit. Horrible and racist staff. If you're a foreigner, they will treat you with disrespect. Avoid at all costs.

Hello Carlos I wanted to reply to you personally about your review and the explain the deposit situation. We do not keep your deposit, rather it is used to return the property to a conditionclose to that when you moved in and is used to pay for cleaning , repairs and redecoration and only once it is assessed by an independent body. I see you have agreed to pay for the damaged wardrobe and amounts towards the cleaning and decoration, so thank you for that. The main reason I wanted to reply was to your comment on us being horrible and racist which we certainly are not. I would like to have a discussion with you about these comments and if you can substaniate this with evidence I will take action myself against any individual member of my staff and I will personally call in the police as racism is unacceptable in any circumstances. Appalling services as a letting agent. Reported Damp repeatedly to their office to which they made very minimal efforts to resolve and only approved the very minimal works to force contractors to botch job the repairs and hide the damp as apposed to actually fixing the problem. I had to repeatedly chase them up to send people to look at the property, and when the damp was first reported they attempted to tell me they knew the cause/extent of the issues without someone even entering the property despite the damp only getting worse. Thankfully I wished to be home when a contractor eventually attended and he told me the true cause of the damp and put requests in to fix this properly however he was not approved the work. I was reporting the damp issues for over a year before I finally found a newer property to move to and handed in my notice, then suddenly they rushed out a damp surveyor to check the property,. And sadly after this terrible service and the state jd Gallagher was willing to leave my home in, they have still attempted to not give me my full deposit back. I am extremely disappointed in JDG. After being a loyal tenant for years I would not recommend them to anyone.

Do not trust them and lying so blatantly to try and sell a property. They have a good portfolio of properties and when speaking with their staff on the phone they are lovely. However we visited a property in lancaster and spotted some warning signs of damp the guy showing the property just blatantly lied to us and said there are no problems with damp. When we pointed out the very obvious ones including the walls being really wet in two rooms on the top floor and the fact that there was holes in the roof where we could see the daylight coming through, he continued to lie. There were a few other things he claimed that did not match what we were seeing. Went and bought the next house we saw with a different agent

These guys have an abysmal policy that you must view the property before you can purchase. Great if you live in the area, not so great if you don’t and have to spend hundreds of pounds travelling to view every property. There’s also a good chance they will sell the property before you get chance to see it after you have made travel arrangements, in my case causing the loss of several hundreds of pounds in bookings to travel and in accommodation. This is after I made a cash offer on one of their properties which they refused to accept. Effectively they have banned me from being able to buy a house in my hometown because I had the temerity to move away for a few years. I know all the houses and areas in Lancaster, I’d like to buy one for cash, all it needs to do is pass a survey, the rest is cosmetic, what’s your problem? Mmmm... apparently you legally obliged to put an offer from prospective buyers, I will be following this up....

Dear Paul. I'm sorry you feel this way. The owner of the property is aware that you wished to offer without seeing the property. Her preference however was to proceed with a buyer who had viewed and seen the condition of the home first hand hence her decision. There was lots of viewings booked for this home and our client was keen to secure a buyer sooner rather than later. Ultimately we will always follow a sellers wishes. We will have lots of other homes coming up for sale and if you would prefer to book a virtual viewing, please just let the team know.

They make a private auction... And if you’re happy to give them more then sellers price you will buy on time . No communication with the People Change the date of view wait for more people or for there people to take the house .

Hello Virginiya. I understand you are upset but when we have numerous offers on a property we have to ask for best and final offers. We had lots of viewings on the house you were interested in and our policy is not to let everybody know what everyone else has offered. We always ask for best and final offers (Each party was asked for this ) and we have to look at each person offer and also financial situation - eg cash, deposit size etc... If we get another similar property for sale we will let all parties who missed out know. Ps. We will still ask for proof of funds so we still recommend that you have your proof ready.

Beware of booking a viewing as they might call you the same morning and let you know it's cancelled!

Do not trust these guys, accepted offer to buy a property in writing and then 30 mins later rejected by playing buyers off one another. AVOID

I'm sorry Job you didn't get the house. I know my husband John has discussed this at length with you. I think it is only right that I comment here seeing as you have brought it to public attention. As you are aware the property had several offers on it. The owners said they would go with your offer but less than 1 hour later a substantially higher offer came in. By UK law we have to put it forward. Thankfully you had occurred no costs at this stage. You didn't want to increase your offer to match it. We have to go with our clients instructions. Just for anyone reading this we are talking £1000's not £100's. I'm sorry you feel this way but in this instance it was out of our control. Best wishes. Michelle

Terrible - was with them for 3 months and had the worst service. Constantly chasing them for things and had very few viewings. Changed to Farrell Heyworth and sold the house within a week!!
