We had a confirmation email and everything! The First Lady we spoke to was so rude saying that she was only admin and couldn’t contact the agent that was meeting us? So many excuses in one phone call. “Oops forgot” was the response we got from the agent missing the viewing arrangement. Turns out the place had been taken off the agents yet we were not informed. I had traveled from Chelmsford to Battersea for the viewing THATS a £30 train ticket! Just to wait to hear “oops”. It me so long to get the correct number of the agent we were meeting as in her email as she had put the admin number as her number making it so hard to contact her. MARTIN and Co managed my property, they failed to collect the rent on the 4th month of a 6 months tenancy, if the tenant was to stay. The tenant was to give 2 months notice but I had to accept 1 months notice as I was concerned the tenant would not pay the rent and just stay the 2 months. Further Martin and Co entered my apartment without my permission and when my contract with them had ended. I have to date received no explanation for this, but requested an explanation many times. Further Martin and Co failed to correspond with the TDS and had to pay me money which should have been deducted from the tenants bond because they failed to communicate with TDS. All in all incompetence, unprofessional what more need I say. Further some of recommendations on this page are their staff.
It appears most of these reviews are by landlords. As a tenant these people are the absolute scum of the earth to deal with. On moving out, they brazenly and bizarrely attempted to take around £850 for about 15 claims that were clearly all untrue. Most of which could be seen to be such just by spending one minute in the house. The place was left professionally cleaned and clearly in better condition than when I moved in, I didn't bend the prong of a fork. EVERY SINGLE claim they begrudgingly backtracked on as though it was my fault they'd made all this stuff up, save for £90 for "leaves on the balcony". They eventually admitted each claim was untrue, but it took 3 months and having to threaten tenancy disputes. It was like dealing with some kind of faceless emotionless monster, the worst experience I've ever had with a service of any kind. Good luck to any tenants out there using them, I get the impression it's just their process to pull this stuff on everyone they can, and they probably have an above average hit rate in Chelsea. (Oh, and they charged £300 for a lost key, and then clearly didn't use that money to change the locks. This is against the law, but it's just not worth my time pursuing it)
The worse costumer service you will experience. As soon as they will take any money from you they will take weeks to get back to you. They still owe me money and still not getting back to me I highly don’t recommend working with this agency.
Very bad experience, after chasing them For over a week to have more information regarding to buy a property, they didn’t even call me back or sent email. I called several times ask Ying for someone to call me back but seems they don’t want to sell properties. I used before a different Martin and co in battersea reach and I received a great Service, but seems different from store to store. To be avoided!!!!
Absolutely awful people, after renting they’ll simply make up claims to try and keep your bond. For example for items which were never there, or for leaves on balconies. I would avoid these people at all costs (excuse the pun).

Refused any kind of communication(emails or phone calls), in order to resolve any disagreements I had to send a representative legal adviser to finally meet some decent communication. The conclusion is that they do not protect tenant's rights and will always support landlord's interest. Highly recommend avoiding this agency for your own sake and safety!

The whole process was an absolute nightmare. When we left the property they tried to charge us £900 for flaws in the property that were there when we moved in. Including £30 to change a lightbulb! After a long struggle we proved we were right and realised that they were just trying to take our money. Absolutely not recommended- They represent everything that is wrong with estate agents in London.
