Bought a property in July, was hounded almost every other day as the sale of my property had some delays, needless to say this was annoying to say the least and total lack of acknowledgment when I went to collect keys. Wouldn’t use again

Multiple issues with property rental and unsatisfactory response times. Currently withholding deposit without specific reason. Recommend avoiding no matter how much you might like the property. Pictures of how they handed it over to us.

Wanted to rent a property, didn’t need to view and happy to proceed. They then proceeded to credit check me which was then passed but proceeded to show property to other potential renters. No updates and kept in the dark then a week later I got a text saying “landlord picked someone else”. Absolutely shocking!

These estate agents are a joke. They book viewings over two days and then tell you it has been sold already after you have travelled in to view the property. It's like having two days of interviews and taking the first person for the job without seeing other candidates for the position. You don't know who is best for the job without seeing every person. That's why you see everyone. This is just like seeing all the clients who might want to purchase the home for a better price. If I was selling my home I wouldn't use this firm. First in first price. Is that good for the vendor? Unprofessional .

Hi Mark, Hello, thanks for your review. Firstly, please allow me to extend my apologies again for the inconvenience caused here. As you were made aware at the point of booking there were several viewings a few days prior to your appointment and unfortunately the vendors decided to accept an offer placed from another interested party. Unfortunately not all vendors are driven by the same factors, and as Estate Agents, our job is to facilitate the sale in the best interests of the vendor. To be clear, it is imperative that we act on our vendors' instructions at all times. The vendors accepted an offer despite us advising that there were further interested parties that were lined up to view at the weekend. We even attempted further communication to explain your individual case as you're aware, but unfortunately their decision was final and we have to respect their wishes. Again, we can only apologise for the inconvenience and hopefully we can find you somewhere alternative moving forwards. Thanks James.

A company that once they’ve sold your house ignore your phone calls, emails and palm you off from person to person. You don’t keep the same estate agent! Have no consistency with staff either ( they all leave). I should of stayed with Robert Ellis they’re very professional.

I would not use this company. We originally approached this company for quote comparison purposes. They were very eager to get our business and agreed a commision fee that we couldn't really say no to, even though their pitch was on the pushy side. In terms of the marketing we couldn't really complain, some good supporting documentation about how to show your home for the photographs etc and we got a sale agreed within a week. Sale progression was very poor, very slow on the uptake and a lot of reminders of 'how busy they were but they were working hard' etc. Our buyers took over 10 weeks to sort their mortgage out, in which time Ewemove were largely doing nothing to keep control of the situation. Then came the down valuation in our property, again Ewemove failed to communicate vital information that almost resulted in our buyers having to reapply for their mortgage and the sale falling through. Their sales director was very pushy about the completion date, trying desperately to get it to complete early. This lead to a situation where email communications were either lost in translation or completely ignored and we were put in a situation where the bottom of the chain was moving at a different pace, resulting in notice being handed in on rental properties before they should have and again putting the sale in jeopardy. Ewemove were quick to start the blame passing game, sending accusational style text/email messages late in the evening but refusing to answer phone calls late in the evening because they were busy with family life...working 24/7 is one of their slogans but it's not the case. This all ended with their branch Sales Director hanging up the phone on me during a heated conversation about why the bottom of the chain had handed notice in etc. All in all a very poor experience and not one I would ever want to repeat. In my experience they are not worth their fee.

Hi Martin, I know that selling your property is a stressful experience. We aim to ensure all of our vendors and buyers have regular and open communication so as to minimise this - and while we don’t always get it right, we do pride ourselves on our customer service and there are a few points in your review which I’d like to address. Firstly, I’m glad your sale has successfully completed - unfortunately many house sales do fall through but yours didn’t and I believe we had a big part to play in that, we managed to keep together a chain that may have otherwise collapsed. It’s true the property was down valued by a surveyor, and that your buyer had delays with their mortgage application, but those are factors which are beyond our control - all we can do is to keep communicating with you and keep you updated - which we did, our records show a regular flow of updates and conversations with you throughout the progression process, including feedback and responses in the evenings and weekends. Your calls, emails and messages were always responded to in a timely manner by Kate and Diane and I believe, as most people that have worked with us will attest to, we are friendly, helpful and professional in our approach - not pushy or aggressive. In fact, the occasion you refer to when the phone was put down on you was after repeated requests to stop swearing, and with plenty of prior warning. Your review also makes it sound like we were employing sharp sales practices - we simply valued your property and presented how we’d work with you - fees can be a negotiation process at times and you and Ewemove negotiated a fee that was a win win for both parties and was not after the occasion. David from our team has also sent you a copy of our complaints procedure and offered to deal with your complaint in a personal, professional way - which we accept is your choice to accept, all not but given the level of your dissatisfaction with our company, it would have been a good opportunity for us to address your challenges which could have prevented you feeling you had to leave such a review. Which, with respect, does not reflect the service which you received from our point of view. All of the above is also fully documented by our customer service procedures, which any company who cares about their customer service levels has and can produce if required to do so, which we certainly can. It’s a real shame that you feel the way you do about the company and we truly hope that you are happy in your new home, but please remember, we are always ready to take responsibility for any challenges that may occur with any customer we work with. We only ask that people be fair when reflecting on their dealings with us. The unwarranted distain is not what reviews are for. We stand ready to discuss this with you at anytime and hope we can now all move on.
