Very poor communication. We've been trying to organise a settlement with a deposit dispute for a long time but have had zero response. Had numerous issues while living there and only a handful were taken seriously or listened to. Would definitely avoid.

I had problems with Nicholas Humphreys for my entire tenancy. The house was extremely damp when we moved in and they said it would be fixed - it was not. They tried to make out that it was our fault and did nothing to fix the situation so I was living in really horrible damp and mouldy conditions. I have friends who have had similar experiences to this. Edit: 2 years later and they have still not removed me from their system. I get emails about my old house all of the time. Please Take Me Off Your System. I do not live there anymore!!! AND PLEASE FIX THE RODENT PROBLEM AND BROKEN THINGS for the people living in my old house!!! Glynne (the estate agent and our property manager) still haunts my sleep. I hope she still isn't treating people they way she treated us during our tenancy.

Avoid at all costs. Very bad communication, couldn’t even tell us our landlords name. Charged us £50 just to take the house off their website and an additional £400 deposit which they would not confirm was going through a proper deposit protection scheme. Sent out the wrong contract for the house asking for an extended employment history and other bits inappropriately personal information about guarantors. Once we flagged this they said ‘oh sorry wrong form we don’t need any of that information’ which is especially suspicious. Impossible to back out once the process has started. If you ring them you’ll be speaking to an 18 y/o who’s never done any form of customer service in their life. Lied about the contents of the house and that it would be cleaned before tenancy started, now we have a mouse/rat infestation and had to practically beg for the black mould in the bathroom to be removed.

Do not look after their tenants. Ignore on-going complaints and problems of damp and mould in the house and refusing to take responsibility. AvoidNegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

Nicholas Humphreys are completely negligent. If you don’t want unsolved issues of mould and damp then go elsewhere. If you have respiratory issues, you will be at danger in their properties and especially during the current climate. On top of this, you will be left without compensation despite having to live in inhospitable conditions. As well, NH are irresponsible with bill payments - only go with them if you want to pay bills that aren’t even yours. A completely unacceptable and unprofessional level of care and attention from Nicholas Humphreys - immediate action must be taken. For now, steer clear and be wary.NegativeQuality

After a year of living within rented accomodation through this letting agency i would never reccommend. First problem, i sent my deposit over asap only to get a call a week later saying i need to pay it... i told them to double check lone behold i had already paid. The house made me ill, damp made my clothes and bedding mouldy within a month of living there, mice literally running across my room even when we left no food out. Later down the line we had a ridiculous amount of viewings that just happened with little to no notice with people opening my bedroom door when i was asleep and also naked may I add( i worked nights so the day was my only chance to rest and they always did so on a saturday morningfor some reason) . I also was able to overhear alot of the speak between agents and various potential tennants, most of the time telling outright lies of how far away things were and one asked a french girl if she could speak french? Very condescending and very impolite. As an add on to this after the whole ordeal of living in this festering pig sh*t place for a year, I obviously moved. After I put the first part of this review up I got a phone call from the agency having the audacity to ask me to take it down 😂. This place should be closed down and prosecuted for a number of violations if my experience is anything to go by.

One of the worst agents around, no sympathy or understanding during a global pandemic and all they care about is filling their pockets from poor students who they have managed to sign contracts where they have no option but to pay. This is an awful estate agent that allows damp and mould to fester in their properties. They refuse to assist their tenants in dealing with such issues. Disgusting!!NegativeProfessionalism

Nicholas Humphries has provided a house with unliveable conditions, with large amounts of damp going untreated, leading to childhood asthma returning. After months the issues are still ongoing, with a landlord claiming the issues haven't been passed on to him. Avoid!
