Can’t even be bothered to call when asked about properties to rent - this was following a viewing on one of the most awful to let properties I’ve seen. Looking for a 2 bedroom flat or house for my son up to £500pcm yet they have new properties on Rightmove and haven’t bothered to call despite a promise from Mia..
I have the misfortune of renting through these pirates now. They're corrupt fleece merchants. Couldn't give two shits about tenants, nor I suspect landlords. Continually dreaming up ways to con money from tenants. When questioned they claim charges are landlord driven but soon bend when you press. They can't even articulate or justify the charges. I've raised issues with the state of some of the decor and rather than engage about that they're tryinbf to take money from me for pet ownership even though I don't own a pet. They sent contractors to repair a curtain pole in my bedroom. They came in and stood all over my bed to access it and left dust all over pillows and bedroom furniture. Absolutely no respect for tenants whatsoever. Disgusting. Avoid.
Disrespectful vial agent doesn’t even come close to their arrogant disrespectful to other people,listed buildings,conservation property,,they damage vandalised & treat others property with absolutely no respect for just a short term profits for them even if the process results in damaging historical listed buildings in conversation areas , they don’t care to turn a quick profit for the company 😡😡😡😡😡
Very disappointing service, my viewing was cancelled twice and found out the house was let to someone else, something you should bear in mind; respect your customers or future customers and treat them fairly.
Worst possible company!!! They never answer and we had poo running down our dining wall area at least 5 times and they just PAINTED the poo over!!! Always ignore you unless you say that this will go to council! We could not use shower or bathroom for more than a month!!! Inhumane conditions! Mold in every corner that was at first cleaned up and hidden. Holes in the walls and doors!! Never warm in winter! Jo hot water ! The radiators not funcioning! Lights not working, the oven was not working!!! And the walls cracking All over the place! Everything was broken and when they let you have a look the place looks not that bad but when you move in everything started to fall apart, the humiliation į felt to ask multiple time to use friends bathrooms , pee in the garden!!! Never use them!!!
As a landlord of several properties I feel must warn other landlords & tenants of the inadequate & inferior service provided my Martin & Co Newark. Tenants vacating a property let by this company be warned. You are expected to fully refurbish a property to a NEW BUILD standard prior to vacating. The final inspection report includes such minor comments as 'weeds in the lawn'. Martin & Co Newark 'Fair Wear & Tear Policy' is flawed, unfair & inaccurate & outgoing tenants are deliberately exploited when their tenancy comes to an end. Tenants note, the staff at Martin & Co are very important & far superior to yourself, as you'll find when you ask for your deposit to be returned. When you ask for an accompanied final inspection for them to show you the problems they invent, this will be refused point blank! You will be made to feel belittled & inferior to the staff at Martin & Co. Tenants, under no circumstances are Martin & Co on your side. READ the small print PRIOR to signing up with this company. £25.00 per document if you require a copy. As a landlord I allow fair wear & tear and I appreciate my tenants business as they pay me! Landlords think about these comments. Martin & Co do not have your business interest at the forefront! Tenants, 'fair wear & tear' is the criteria this company uses to exploit you. The staff confuse Fair Wear & Tear with the word Damage. NOT to be confused with each other. This review has been written by a Landlord.
