Poor service, they work on behalf of the council for commercial properties, they are very slow and never keep you updated about the service, they told me they can take over 1 year to complete the agreement of letting commercial properties, If you are looking for a shop I would avoid this agency.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism

Very bad experience with this agent, they were dismissive of me as I don't think my property was valuable enough for them to spend their time to help me. I thought in the market and tough times we are in they would welcome any business. Clearly not, the have even bothered to return my calls or emails. I have now instructed an agent round the corner in Romford. Nothing but good experience with them treated well and looked after and now they have rented my flat out for me. DONT USE THIS AGENT. Obstructive in the sale of our property. During said sale, it also came to light the Buildings (which they manage) Fire Safety Certificate was 9 years old. In a Post-Grenfell world, this is abhorrent. Their response to this was equally careless and remorseless. We ensured the residents were left fully aware. The Property Management Accountant continues to invoice us for the property, as recently as March 2021, despite our relinquishment of legal ownership in December 2020. We will be avoiding all future dealings with Hilbery Chaplin like the plague.

I had very very bad experience with them. I was buying property from them and half way of transfer when i paid my solicitor all of a sudden they told me the vender no longer interested in sale. It cost me time+ money + stress. Very experience.

Ignores my enquies

Terrible experience, was left with a feeling of discrimination because we aren’t British So we found a house for rent on their website and my partner called them to book a viewing( they had no pics on the website just with the front of the house) We barely managed to get an appointment after many calls , each time we were given different excuses ( Blaming the actual tenant that she doesn’t want anyone in the house yet while she is there) Every time my partner was given a new excuse , then I called and I asked if the house is on the market or not and said to them that we are interested in the house but we can’t be kept on hold for ever and that if we cannot see the house we will go for other properties cause we will not wait for any more longer and suddenly in 10-15 minutes they were able to book an appointment When I called I was given total different reasons then what my partner was told so from the start everything was weird. We managed to see the house , the tenant , a very nice lady showed us around , she told us very clear that what the agency said to us was total lie and that she had nothing against viewings We saw the house on a Saturday and we decided to take it so on a Monday morning first hour we called them to tell them we want to start the procedures and guess what again we be been put on hold ( wait a little bit to speak with the landlord, wait cause I didn’t get ahold of the landlord and so) The house was a 2 double bedroom detached bungalow, we were a family of 3, all working individuals with good jobs and over 90k annual income So we be been told to wait , then we are told that the landlord has more viewings even though we met all the requirements ( house was 1300 a month , we are 3 individuals with over 90 k incomes)and said we are taking the house and at the end to be told that they are giving the house to someone else , when I asked based on which criteria was this if we were first interested and they basically refused to start the paperwork and told to wait they said that the la lord decided based on number of people and I come , for his sake it was only a 1300 a month house with 2 double bedrooms and we were only 3 so for me from the start this sounded like DISCRIMINATION

Totally disappointed, your services definitely need improvement!!!

I had a really disappointing experience with this agent. They do not answer the phone, or return messages. After multiple dropped calls (at least once it appeared as though someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up), 3 messages and one email, I finally got through after 3 days of trying to be told I "was lucky to get hold of someone" and to be told how busy they are and only have 2 staff to cover the whole Havering area. After finally being able to book a viewing, I received a call the day of the viewing to be advised the property had been let that morning. Had I got through originally, I may not have missed out on what looked like a great apartment. It's a shame that, as the tenant, you don't have a choice about which agent lists the best properties. They are clearly taking on too much work for the resource they have.

I was called in for viewing the property no one showed up, after calling in the branch, I got to knew neither of the member knew which agent is going to come. I drove 1 hour, left my work early just to come and view the property in Rm11. But I wasted my time and fuel. They don't have any courtesy to call me and cancel the appointment. Worse service Will NEVER recommend any one.
