The service received from Martin and Co is absolutely shocking. Blatant lies are told. Customer satisfaction is simply not there. Rental house has had maintenance issues for months on end, biggest problem being the smell of cat urine in the house that cannot be eliminated with cleaning detergents such as simple solutions, Only option is to have 3 or 4 plug in smell diffuses to stop the stench. A serious health concern with 2 children and a pregnant wife. Will not ever use this company again and would advise other "clients" to be very cautious of the way the operation is managed. Absolutely shocked at their responses.
My review is purely based on the Stirling branch. From my first correspondence with this team they were extremely unprofessional. What basically happened is one member of their team name beginning with 'R' female lied about information she should have given me before taking a deposit from me. Then stated the deposit is non refundable and ' you can't get your money back'. After confronting her about withholding information she admitted this at first but later denied - it was a real fight to get my money back. She was incredibly rude and repeatedly lying even stating she had a conversation with my partner about these things?! Unaware I was on the phone for this viewing. Also after the viewing I called this estate agent to recap and no details where given to me. When asking members of the team for their managers email I was given the wrong one three times. Eventually getting through to Alan bate had a conversation with him said he would arrange for my deposit to be paid back but made no apologies in behalf of his staffs incompetence and clear dishonesty. After a week the deposit still had not been paid back when calling him again he denied ever speaking to me.. The email correspondence and phonecall he flatly denied this ever place. I'd advise you to be wary it's always worrying when a manager lies like that. If you are going to use this company I'd encourage you to have everything in writing before paying anything, also do not allow them to call you but tell them all correspondence must be in email as there's alot of dishonesty and unprofessional staff at this office.

Renting a property where for most of this winter the heating and hot water were broken (two different issues) they don't seem to care even though there is a young child in the house and this is the last in a long line of problems that never get attended to. It's always blamed on someone else and you are never updated on anything having to continually chase them up and it only gets sorted when you have to resort to witholding payment and even then they phone every day demanding payment but only phoned once to check if the heating was fixed satisfactorily. Really awful experience!

Worst letting agents!!! The property I rented was electrically unsafe, it did not meet the repairing standards, live electric wires hanging out the ceiling, light switches taped up with masking tape, they said it was a minor issue. I got a reputable electrician to check out the property who deemed it electrically unsafe to live in. Myself and children never moved in due to this. Martin and co knew about these issues 2 months prior to my move in date but still chose to ignore. The staff are arrogant and blatantly lie about everything and try to intimidate you. Imtiaz Ahmed ( managing director) took me to court for rent arrears, himself and Kevin Valentine appeared at court and lied on oath, oh also my partners ex wife appeared as a witness against me( she had not a thing to do with this) she lied under oath too. I won the court case and didn't have to pay a penny thanks to all the evidence I had. The property actually belonged to the managing director of Martin and co Stirling.
