The worst letting agent I have ever come across, really ever so poor shall not be recommending the bloody service or indeed using them again awful. They only try to make money of someone's misery of finding urgent accommodation or moving houses.
Do not do business with these people. Untrustworthy, sleazy and disrespectful. If I could, I’d give 0 stars. We were looking for our first home. We found a lovely cottage but after placing an offer, we got that rejected. We moved on and continued with our search. It was a month later when they contacted us again, saying that the other buyer was “crazy and unreliable”. They would call you late Friday afternoon and would refuse to write anything down in an email. Non-the-less, we looked through the poor communication and unprofessional behaviour, as we wanted the house. Little did we know, that the vendor will soon also be called “crazy and unreliable”. Despite twice daily calls for three weeks straight, we felt that we were the middle man between the agent and vendor plus the estate agent’s psychotherapist. Eventually, we had to pull out of the purchase as frankly we got fed up with such treatment. I know there are some positive reviews here, but you wonder what these people are saying about you behind your back.
The property I am renting is riddled with black mould and damp and Breckon and Breckon will not help me, I first reported it 9 months ago and have had to chase them up so much since and they’ve still not sorted it. Completely non-existent property management. They are so slow moving it’s unbelievable, you have to chase them and remind them ten times before they do anything, it takes them weeks to do it, and they have left me living in an extremely mouldy damp flat with a small child putting our health at risk for months on end! I would not recommend unfortunately they clearly don’t care about their tenants health.
Avoid this place at all cost! I am not very convinced with the positive reviews here.
would never rent via Breckon & Breckon again: incredibly friendly and quick when in process of getting you as tenant, but tone of interaction changes considerably as soon as you sign the tenancy agreement. Got really fed up with being treated arrogantly and unprofessionally. Too many differnet people interacting about different things without knowing what other´s told me. I had to move out earlier due a change in my life situation, we had agreed on an earlier move out date, I paid the breaking-early-fee, agency started viewings; three months later I was told that landlord had changed his mind and I can not move out earlier; because the agency had not drawn up a deed of surrender there was nothing I could do. cost me 2 months rent plus council tax. But not even an apology from their side. Upon return of the keys, incredibly unfriendly receptionist who in Covid-times made me wait in a room full of employees without masks to fill in a form with my data that they have anyway.
Would suggest not going anywhere near Breckon and Breckon as tenants. Horrible service, over-charged for nearly everything, 2/3 of our deposit retained unfairly (still in dispute with TDS), terrible communication and no care or interest in the state of properties being managed. It may suit landlords but, if you're a tenant considering renting through Breckon and Breckon, DON'T! On top of all this, we were left with a kitchen completely falling apart for over 6 months. They don't care as long as the money's rolling in.
