Laura who deals with property management in lettings seems to treat tenants like something at the bottom of her shoe. Doesn’t seem to have any empathy. Completely unprofessional and sarcastic tone on email correspondence and by phone. I’m really shocked with the way she spoke to me on the phone, like I was a child. It’s a complete insult. Extremely dissatisfied with the service.
The most disgusting service I have ever received. I dealt with this company in my second personal property purchase and I have never been talked to and treated in such a manner. Disgusting threatening phone calls placing immense pressure to move forward at unrealistic rates. Treating the purchase of a house worth thousands of pounds like the purchase of a £10 toy. Zero trust that the information being passed on between parties is done correctly. Bullying sales men purely interested in their fees . The property was placed back on the market without myself even being told and with no concern for the legal costs and mortgage broker costs. I strongly advise against using this company. I am horrified by the treatment. Purple Bricks will charge you less and treat you better ! With everything else going on in the world , shame on you.
Cut our application off at every possible turn. Failed to get back to us about viewings, failed to send us an application from when requested. And now getting the age old “we’d prefer just a couple” for a large 3 bed property? Can’t help but feel we were sold short based on being a group of young professionals.
2 weeks ago I visited the shop on Worsley to enquire about flats for sale in Elmwood, Worsley (the website listed 2). I was informed that the 2 bedroomed one had been sold and the one bedroomed one rented out. Last evening I looked at the window display showing a flat for rent at The Old Smithy Monton. I called in this morning to enquire and was told that this was no longer available. The 2 flats in Elmwood are still showing as available on the website and the Old Smithy is still in the window. If the website and the window display are both inaccurate how can the company be trusted to get anything right?
Been waiting since Friday to speak to a member of management, being fobbed off constantly. Disgusting customer service, unlawfully took money off me & refusing to refund. Jan obviously cannot do her job properly and trying to pass the blame. If I have to sit in the office all day until somebody speaks to me then so be it. Didn’t follow procedures properly and now refuse to admit they are in the wrong and will not refund
Dreadful company, regardless of renting or buying, and I've done both through them. Awful customer care, no attention to detail, I'd give 0 stars if I could. Lost £950 because of them directly.
From my first enquiry about a property for sale.. the staff there didn't seem to know which property I was talking about (even though it'd only gone on the market a few days earlier). Once we established which property I was enquiring about, I made an appointment for the Thursday of that week. On the Wednesday night, because I hadn't received a confirmation email for the appointment, I checked the property address on rightmove ready to enter the address in my sat nav as I was making a 400 mile round trip to view this property, and they were aware of this.. Good job I did check the address with rightmove, as it was only then that I discovered the property had, had an offer accepted on it and was sold subject to contract. I called them to ask what was going on, and why they hadn't informed me the property had already been sold, specially as they knew I was making such a long journey.. Apology was made, and the matter forgotten about. The next day, as I was continuing with my house search, I noticed the same property was now not sold, and back on the market.. Briscombe Nutter and Staff, knowing that I was prepared to travel so far, unbelievably still hadn't called to let me know of the new property status. I called again, made a new appointment and eventually got to view the property.. I liked the property enough to call and make an offer.. "Sorry, we can't put the offer forward today, as our negotiator isn't in the office for the rest of the day, but he'll call you first thing in the morning" was their reply.. Next morning.. no return call.. I had to call them again to put my offer forward. Offer rejected (fair enough, i don't have a problem with that part). Around 30 minutes later I called to make an improved offer, but yet again, the negotiator not available.. "He's out on a valuation" they said.. I replied, "Well surely he's got a mobile phone you can contact him with when people are trying to put offers forward", The story then seemed to change, and now the negotiator was in a meeting and couldn't be contacted. This was on Friday morning, and at the time of writing this review (Monday lunchtime), I still haven't had my call returned. I have decided to give up on this property, not because I don't like it, or the area, but because I have absolutely no confidence in this agent being able to complete the deal hassle free and smoothly.
Handled the sale of our home and the purchase of our new home back in 2008. Worst experience ever on day of completion. Utterly inept staff and i will never use or recommend them to anyone. Zero customer service once they had our business. Reading current reviews seems little has changed. Avoid at all costs.
Tried to arrange a viewing of a property to be told they will get back to me.. Heard nothing for a few days then receive a text message 30 minutes before said viewing! Having to rearrange, is not ideal and not fair on either house owner or potential buyer. Sloppy that!
