Good experience until it came to getting the deposit back after only 8 months living in the property. They charged us for miscellaneous issues without providing receipts. Felt like a dodgey operation

We rented out our one bedroom apartment with Ellis & Co through Ashley for a year, and the experience was a nightmare. We realised after one year that the bedroom went completely mouldy and the tenant was complaining about it for 6 months… pictures attached. We actually received the pictures and info through another agency who were amazing and life savers. We never got pictures or notes from the contractual quarterly inspections, even after chasing Ashley multiple time over the phone and emails. He always found excuses and would push back. It cost us thousands in repair plus three months unable to rent it out. Ashley was by far the worst person I had to deal with from a professional standpoint.

The end of the tenancy was a nightmare. Kier was unhelpful and I had to chase him for weeks before being able to get my deposit back (over a month after moving out). It is honestly a shame, and ruined my experience with them completely.

Customer service very bad . Specially reception guy. Behave like a don’t care customer

Not sure if we were discriminated against because we were students, or because we were Asian, but the agents (Ashley in particular) were very rude and condescending. They also ignored our emails and phone calls for months, which meant we had to deal with broken heating, broken taps, broke fire alarms etc.for months. 100% do not recommend.
