Made an appointment to view their advertised property 2 days prior before the actual viewing. The lady that took my call did NOT put this booking in their diary nor made any parties aware of the viewing. I have travelled to the property this morning and waited outside the house, called up Martin & Co and they replied that they have forgotten to put this in their diary. Useless & Complete waste of my Time !!
I went to view a property on 10/6/22 and estate agent, Michael, would not let me view the property due to being 10minutes late for the appointment. He had not told me that I had 10mins to view the property and having told him that I'd travelled far he still asked me to rearrange to another date. I found this rude and not accommodating, especially because he had not said that I'd only have 10minutes to view the property. My reviews therefore are not views of the property but of Michael, whom I found to be quite rude and unhelpful.
I would not recommend buying a house through this agent. My experience of them was anything but positive I would even mention the word "cowboys". First time buyers who do not know the process of buying a house should beware! Update: James... U tried to persuade me not to buy surveys because you already knew it would reveal the existing problems that were not visible. You tried to pressure my solicitor for a quick sale before the end of summer as you knew that winter weather would reveal the significant damp in the house. On top of this you told me that the damp professional was not supposed to reveal the issues that they found. The the list goes on.NegativeQuality, Professionalism, Value
The person that is on lettings should be more polite , very unprofessional a man with no respect , very very poor service I won’t use this agency again
I had a very negative experience renting with Martin & Co Crystal Palace. Not only were maintenance issues ignored at the property I was renting for 18 months but I found one staff member in particular to be duplicitous and bullying. Martin & Co may pull out all the stops if you are buying a property with them but if you are renting then you may receive the same shoddy treatment. I eventually quit the property in question after a 10% rent hike was implemented when the same thing had happened 12 months previously. I would not recommend Martin & Co for tenants in the private rented sector.
