TRADES MEN BEWARE!!!!!!! if you are a skilled tradesman AVOID Martin & Co doncaster like a dose of the clap!!! You will be told a heap of lies by rude, ignorant and uneducated staff when coming to get payment, who obviously think that they are above the rest of the world! It's now been 2 weeks since my invoice was put in and still no payment 02-05-24 and still no answer to the day MY MONEY will hit my account!!! Bearing in mind I've been told on 3 separate occasions that my bill will be paid by 01-05-24!! When I say the staff are rude, ignorant, and uneducated I mean this in the strongest terms! The two members of staff know who they are, I won't name them, but for the sake of this review let's call the manager I spoke to KAREN 1 and let's call the other member of staff KAREN 2. Well what can I say? KAREN 2 believes that ASKING for my business card to be disposed of and not to be contacted for any further work is THREATENING BEHAVIOUR!!! (Now that is the first sign of ignorance and an uneducated mind). KAREN 2 also likes to talk to people very RUDELY but in that fake posh phone voice believing she is superior to everyone else!! and as soon as your voice goes up by a ferrets fart, is extremely offended and is in fear of her personal safety and life!! And is planning on joining the witness protection program. KAREN 1 is just as laughable and feels that an honest trades man earning an honest wage is AGGRESSIVE when asking without aggression when his money for the hard work over the past 3 weeks is going to be paid (second sign of ignorance and an uneducated mind). Like KAREN 2 KAREN 1 also likes to talk in that condescending fake posh tone obviously KAREN 1 and KAREN 2 have been to the same customer service training course down the posh food aisle marks and Spencers sipping pimms on their breaks! Like KAREN 2, KAREN 1 is in fear of her life and is now planning on changing her name and moving to a remote cave somewhere on the moon! It's all good for Martin & co though as there will be a teenager wanting work experience that will be much more professional and experienced than KAREN 1. There is a silver lining to every cloud though for KAREN 1 and KAREN 2 at least they have been paid on time for there work over the past month and havnt had to worry how materials, mortgage, gas, leccy, food, fuel, TV licence, business outgoings and all other bills are going to get paid. Thought these were OK until it came to getting our deposit back. Absolute chancers, trying to claim practically the full deposit for items that we aren't responsible for. We had ensured the property was fully cleaned before we left. They're just trying to drag things out in the hopes they can keep hold of money that is rightfully ours..No Recommendations at all .. I leave Hier some photo how we leave the house for which we don’t receive any deposit back ..
Brutally Shocking Reviews by tenants and prospective homebuyers ! My local window cleaner is 65 years old, travels on a push bike to clean windows, gutters and doors for a honest living! Carrying a simple kitt and extendable ladders, provides better customer satisfaction and nevers let's the community down...all missed calls are returned within the hour by using a simple basic mobile nothing fancy at all. Never been formally educated nor attended any courses etc yet has provides the countless properties with his humble service, no complaints have ever been bought against him in a 55 year work history! If this small window cleaning business can succeed and please long-term customers why can't Martin & Co? Clearly the simple answer is GREED, CORRUPTION and sheer CONTEMPT TOWARDS PATRONS. MARTIN & CO Please hang your heads low in shame with immediate effect! Disgraceful, Disgusting and utterly Devious! I won't be surprised if vast civil / criminal cases have been logged against you! 😞
They are the worst letting agents I've ever seen and I've been a tenant for 15 years, including 5 years in the UK. They are shocking, if you are a tenant or a landlord, you should definitely avoid them. They put me (when I was 9 months pregnant) with my husband in an old-fashioned home without any basic check to make sure everything works properly. For the first few days we saw that the boiler is not working, the shower is not connected and there is a leak in the kitchen. Then they sent us a contractor who preferred to just stand and look, call friends and eat crisps rather than do his job. When we started refusing access, because the contractor did not perform his work as it should be (for example, he was changing the toilet flush 6 hours!, saying 'oh, that's fine, I earn 30£ per hour') and we wrote to the agency that we would like to move out, they sent us an eviction notice. I could write a lot more, but it's not worth it. They gave us a lot of stress and frustration. The only nice person in the office is Lauren, who always apologizes for any inconvenience. The rest of the staff are more than rude, terrible and extremely unfriendly, without any empathy. They are so extremely rude that they can even shout at you in your own home. Lauren, you should consider moving your job to any better company, as you are a polite person, not up to 'Monsters & co's' standards. ;) And to anyone: please, do not rent house on 2 Lime Avenue, it might look nice in the first glance, but it's a hovel. ;)NegativeProfessionalism

They have failed to provide the evidence required to legitimise the claim, meaning I now have to submit a statutory declaration. They're just trying to drag things out in the hopes they can keep hold of money that is rightfully ours. Not a chance.
Unprofessional. I was in the process of buying a house with them and it was removed from their website. When my mortgage was taking a long time to deliver (due to covid), it was then readvertised on their website as sstc, and the person who also made an offer 4 months earlier, on the property miraculously found out and gazumped us, I feel that they facilitated this. Me and my husband were heartbroken as we had found our dream home.
Shocking experience. Rented a house for 1.5 years from these, gave them 6 weeks notice of moving out, they came and did checks on the property and had viewings on the property and then decided to charge me £445.00 once I left for not leaving the house how they wanted me to leave it and for "damage" to the property. They charged me £130 for a deep clean of the house when in times of COVID they should be completing deep cleans regardless and not charging the ex-tenant. They tried to say the problem was because I had a cat, when the landlord came to visit me and I told her about the cat and she was happy with it. They didn't contact me at all in the process, just kept telling me to refer to "the contract" and sending me rude abrupt emails and then when I ask for my personal letters, they don't give them to me or promise dates and then go back on what they say. I have a 2 year old young girl with me who lived at the property, and I got scrutinised for every mark on the carpet, which is wear and tear of the property they just wanted to get as much money from my deposit as possible. I am so glad to be out of a agreement with them! They are shocking if you are wanting to rent a property do NOT use these!!!!!
