Currently renting with this agency and the communication is appalling. Been waiting for call back numerous times never got one. Been expecting to receive a letter but yet again never received one. Currently not even in the property due to it causing health issues and even though we’re happy to provide a doctors notes proving the flats caused me to be in hospital we’ve been told we’re not allowed to leave the tenancy and apparently the flats ‘fine’. Sam who is the director has spoken down to us many times only really seemed bothered when we said they could keep the money we paid upfront. Will happily be taking legal action because everyone here just doesn’t care or listen unless money is involved. Also apparently sent our letter to the landlord then turned round and said they know he’ll say no so haven’t bothered🤔. If you want to be lied to and made ill go with lovelle.👍🏻

Hello Maddison, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, I note that your partner has also left a similar review. There is a common misconception that companies fear negative reviews however, in practice this allows a company to respond formally whilst the public then have the opportunity to reflect on the entire situation. You have raised a number of issues regarding your property with us and on each occasion, a contractor has attended the flat to resolve the issue very quickly as you have confirmed during our conversations. When you raised your concerns regarding your health, we immediately offered to attend the property that day as we deemed this to be an urgent priority (which was declined) and then offered to attend the following day with the council inspector, which you declined. We then rebooked for the following day (although you again tried to cancel). After attending the property we requested further works be investigated/works completed to be re-checked to give you piece of mind although there was not evidence of the issues described. Your comment regarding the property causing illness is rather defamatory as you live in a block of flats where the majority of the tenants have lived for a number of years and a no such issue has ever been raised. In terms of your tenancy, you signed a six month tenancy agreement and requested to leave at month 3. We discussed this with the property owner who declined your request and explained to you that you are contractually obligated to fulfil the initial 6 month period in terms of rent, bills and council tax. Maddison you understood this position and we agreed that once the flat had been cleared that we would meet you at the property for you final 'check out' inspection. On our call you explained that this was fine and that you wished to move back home as quickly as possible. As a company we take absolute pride in our honest and transparent approach with every customer so we are incredibly disappointed to see your comments here however, as an agency we have gone above and beyond to try to help you. We do wish you and your partner luck with you next property, Kind regards, Sam

Where too begin with Lovelle, as me and my partner are first time renters we thought we’d give lovelle a try the reviews weren’t great, but we thought we check it out for ourselves. There have been countless problems with the flat. I’ve been promised countless and I mean countless calls back, can safely say I’ve had maybe 2 or 3 calls back from lovelle from March up until the time of writing this review. The calls I’ve had with the company director Sam felt like I was being belittled and not taken seriously. I had too ring up too actually find out we’d got the property we had applied for. Due too all of these circumstances I’ve been under a great deal of stress. It is a shame, it’s actually a real shame we really thought we’d have a really pleasant first time renting experience. But sadly lovelle ruined my expectations on this regard. It’s a shame money is more important than the well-being of tenants. I’d avoid this company like the plague!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Hello Leo, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review, I note that your partner (Maddison Rushforth) has also left a similar review that we have responded to. There is a common misconception that companies fear negative reviews however, in practice this allows a company to respond in the public domain allowing readers to have the full information. You have raised a number of issues regarding your property with us and on each occasion, a contractor has attended the flat to resolve the issue very quickly as you have confirmed during our conversations. when you again called (although you were not living in the property) expressing your concerns, we immediately offered to attend the property that day to fully understand your concerns. You declined this offer and also the offer to attend the next day. We attended two days later (although you tried to cancel this) and were unable to find any evidence of your concerns. That said, we immediately requested the contractor to re-attend and check that all works had been completed correctly whilst also checking for any further issues. In terms of call backs, this is simply not the case, we have returned your calls and tried to engage with yourself and Maddison however you have remained unhappy as we are unable to release you from your tenancy agreement. This is due to you requesting to leave three months into your six month 'assured short hold tenancy' which you are legally obligated to fulfil. Your partner understood this position and explained that you wish to leave Grimsby to return home asap. We take our responsibilities as a company very seriously and are sad to see your comments here although we do fundamentally disagree with what you have stated. We wish both you and Maddison the very best for the future. Kind regards, Sam

horrendous is the only word I can use to describe my experience with this estate agents. From day one, the woman who I believe to be the manger was patronising towards me and my mum. This was my first time moving out with my boyfriend and his friend. She didn’t want us to move into the property, because there would be three young people living in the house. However, we’d already met the landlord and he was more than happy to have us rent out one of his properties. Day one of moving out, they gave us the wrong key and insisted they’d given us the right one and it was just that we wasn’t turning the key properly. We reported several problems with the house such as bad damp and mould and they never reported this to the landlord. They messed us about on three occasions saying that someone was going to come view the condition of the property, three different occasions and no one showed and resulted in a loss of money due to taking time off work eating for someone to show. We would t have minded but no one ever contacted us letting us know no one was going to show. Finally on the 4th occasion, someone showed and was really impressed with the condition of the house, just couldn’t believe the damp and mould hadn’t yet been looked at so he took pictures and said he’ll report it and we should hear from someone soon. We rang occasionally hoping for answers but months passed and still the problem wasn’t resolved. We were paying for a house/ a service, we were upholding our end of the tenancy agreement yet the estate agents were getting away with not upholding there’s. Eventually, we’d had enough so we rang the estate agents asking if there’s any chance we could leave the one year contract early because of something to do with a six month break out clause and they informed us we could. I’d say about a week later, we received a latter including the date in which out tenancy agreement ends which was just in a about a months time. We arranged and paid for furniture removal and one of us tenants had sorted another property out and paid out a deposit. We all moved out to only receive a letter saying we couldn't leave the contract early and that we’ve got to continue paying until the one year contract runs out. We questioned this, however they tried sending us the previous letter out again, this time they'd removed the date, luckily we kept the pervious letter which stated the end of tenancy agreement date they agreed to on the phone. We went into the estate agents querying their mistake and they denied everything. So we asked to listen to the phone call because it states they record all phone calls. However they couldn’t find it and it had been deleted. We only later found out the woman who was suppose to get up this phone call for us and told us she couldn’t, was the mother of the girl who made the mistake of telling us we could move out early and that we wouldn’t have to make anymore payments. In result of this, we had to continue paying for rent and council tax for another 4 months. They were never interested in helping us. If they’d have stated to us we could leave the property but would have to continue payment, we wouldn’t have been daft enough to leave the property. In fact they said the opposite, we could leave the contract early and wouldn’t have to continue paying rent or council tax because of a “six month break out clause” she stated. After my experience with Lovell bacons, I would never go through this estate agents again even if it meant me getting my dream home, never mind recommending them to anyone else.

Hello Mr Hale, thank you for your comments here. I have tried to call you today to discuss this. Our viewing agent was at the property at the allotted time yesterday as we had a number of people viewing the property at the same time. We'd be happy to book you another appointment to view the property on your own. Please call the office on 01472 500700 option 3 to discuss. Look forward to hearing from you. Kind regards, Sam

They are a very poor company and do not look after their landlords. Please stay clear of them. Hunters in Gainsbourgh are the Best by far sold my property in 3-4 months.

Was purchasing a property through them, the property was made sold subject to contract, my solicitor was getting on completing the sale and then they allowed another offer to be accepted. One big waste of time and energy. Cameron showed very little empathy and Lucy who dealt with the sale never bothered to even call me. The worst experience I have had buying a property.

Hi Mr Warburton, We are so sorry to hear of this feedback. After reviewing the file, Lucy was on annual leave at the time the second party made a formal offer so Connor did take the lead in her absence. We apologise if Connor didn’t show empathy, we understand it’s never easy losing out on a property you wish to purchase. I’m not sure if you are aware but we do have a legal obligation to report all offers to a vendor and we then merely take instructions from there. It’s unfortunate at this time that the vendor did decide to accept another offer, unfortunately this is out of our control. We can understand why you are frustrated so do apologise for this, we wish you the best of luck in your property search and of course do not hesitate to contact us if we can be of further assistance. Kind Regards Lovelle Bacons
