WITHOUT PREJUDICE Where do I even begin? Renting from Lovelle started with promise, but it quickly unravelled. It's advisable to steer clear of the rental property listed, Greenfield Theddlethorpe Road, consider seeking alternative options for rental needs due to the unsatisfactory service that is given by Lovelle. We move in on the 07th of September and issues with our property piled up: mould, dampness, drafty windows, and traffic noise from a supposedly “peaceful road.” Reporting these problems led nowhere. The septic tank was the worst—a source of foul odours, backups, and illness. Lovelle dismissed it all. After contacting housing standards, in the fourth month of our tenancy, my family and I received a Section 21 no-fault eviction notice from the landlord and Lovelle. The garden is riddled with issues, including over 50 rat holes and the presence of large rats. Additionally, it's quite likely that moles will dig up the garden too. You might be promised a tranquil experience out there, but the proximity of an active farm, which harvests and sprays pesticides mere meters from the property, is nothing but a nuisance. Discovering that the "gardener" provided to you is, in fact, your landlord—who comes to the property to mow the lawn on weekdays or weekends, with or without your consent, whenever he chooses. While strolling through the garden, you might encounter the landlord inspecting or even pruning the trees. This is not unusual, as it occurred during our tenancy. However, when reported to Lovelle, they denied the landlord's presence. When a tap requires repair, it's not a plumber who arrives, but the landlord. Should there be a problem with the garage, don't expect a specialist; the landlord will attend to it. All repairs conducted by him are temporary solutions and will fall apart within weeks. Should you choose to install any fixtures or fittings, such as a new fence—especially since the property lacks one—you are required to leave these improvements upon departure for the landlord, to, and I quote, "benefit his property." Consider this review as a cautionary note: steer clear of Lovelle and this property by all means. If I could give a 0 star review, I would. Don't rent with them.
Sure. As a buyer, this was a terrible experience. General lack of professionalism from the senior estate agent, who at times acted like a bully. Home was advertised as possessing a Right of Way when, in fact, it did not. Estate agent became frustrated when purchase was delayed due to misleading information being ng advertised by them.
Doesn't give attention or importance when you email, ring or leave a message about problem in rented property. They just want your rent.
Went down on a Saturday to leave some documents. On Google it marks is from 9:00-13:00. We got there at 10:50 and we were told that the office in charge of rentals closes at 11 and even though the lady that sorts all that out was there, she couldn't take our documents as she was waiting for a call. I think they should specify as we can't believe they only open for 2 hours on Saturday.
Think twice before choosing this agency. Worst service ever possible. Be ready to get parking ticket where you rent , don’t expect to get a permit even if you ask them, after all they’ll blame you.
Alright if ya selling a house!! But try renting from.these people, you get rude response! No help AT ALL, shoved aside, telling you to get a guarantor and then never ring/email you back, when contact is finally made the property has already gone!! Dont even consider looking at your application., or even let the landlord look at the situation your in and Consider letting to you, would NOT RECOMMEND these for lettings
We rented a fully furnished three storey house on the sea front in Cleethorpes for two years and from the start Lovelle's gave us a lazy service and then tried to rip us off on leaving. Below is a history of the issues we had with Lovelle's: 1. We had difficulty in getting any traction or response from Lovelle's on initial enquiries for the property. They failed to return calls and seemed to have very little interest closing the deal. Only reason we concluded the rental agreement was we kept pushing 2. The house wasn't cleaned before we moved in and contained various items left from the previous occupiers (food, condiments and cleaning products) that they tried to charge for disposing when we left 3. Whilst in the house they were very slow to respond with various maintenance issues. One example was a rotten front door that took the best part of a year to replace. Lovelle's blamed this on the landlord, but guarantee it wasn't chased with any endeavour, hence the comment about a lazy service. We also had a leaking sink in the kitchen that we had to chase three times and a leak through the ceiling that was never resolved 4. They put the house up for sale without even having the decency to consult with us. Bearing in mind we had been renting for over two years. We returned home from work and there was a for sale sign up 5. When moving out we invested a considerable amount of time cleaning the house to avoid any charges, and despite a walk around with Lovelle's and comments that the house was clean and fine, weeks later we received a £280 charge for 9 hours cleaning, which was fabricated and not possible. We took this to arbitration and it was decided that we should pay at reduced amount of £100. For context we paid £50k plus in over two years (never missed a payment) and Lovelle's were petty enough to try and charge us £280 for a spurious cleaning charge. The house has been empty and unsold for three months now. Terrible Customer Service and terrible business sense Lovelle's. My advice is don't have any expectations about the service you will receive and you won't be disappointed. Also be careful with the check out as they will be opportunistic with your bond.
I had very bad experience today. After a long journey i arrived to view the property in grimsby. I had been booked two weeks ago for the view. Yesterday i confirm appointment by call to the office then the office staff said that you are most welcome to view. Finally i reached in time then one of the staff gave me an application form and asked me to fill and submit in office. After all filling the form, i arrived in office but the reply was so horrible that she said now we are not accepting any application so i was sad by itself. Atleast she could receive my form for the sake but she didn't. If the situation is this she could have told me yesterday when i called.. Any please manage.
So in general it is like this. People who sold or bought properties have good experiences because they left a lot of money there, and people who rented are treated as third-class citizens. And I feel it very much. We lived there for almost 10 years and during that time the apartment was never refreshed. Mold on the walls has been reported many times and no one cares. Apartment inspections reported by the agency and, as a result, not even carried out. As long as the papers match. The agency doesn't care what conditions people live there in. When I informed about moving out and ending the rent of the apartment and showed up at the agency, I was treated like an unwanted newcomer. The incompetence of the employees and their pseudo-professionalism was revealed by writing down information about me on an old, used envelope and handling the matter quickly and sloppily. Later they couldn't even find the right keys to the apartment I left them. A few months after the move, I still haven't received a refund (when we moved in, there weren't even any light bulbs and we left them new lamps, we replaced the carpets in some rooms and completely refreshed them at our own expense) of the deposit and absolutely no documents, such as handing over the keys. E-mail contact with the agency was poor because I did not receive answers to my inquiries, and when I showed up there in person, I was treated as an intruder. I highly do not recommend this agency. Well, unless you have money and want to leave a few or several hundred thousand pounds with them. I will only add that these are my personal experiences with this agency and I do not impose it on anyone as an absolute worldview, because everyone can have different ones. However, after moving and renting an apartment in another agency, my experience is the complete opposite. Of course, to the detriment of Lovelle Estate Agency. Regards
