If you don't know of something, they won't provide you relative information, and by the end of tenancy charge you and deduct money, and blame on you! IF YOU ARE A LANDLORD STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! They are one of the worse agents I have ever come across, they are not proactive so you waste a lot of time chasing them up for updates and when you do attempt to call them they always promise a call back which never happens. Further to that SUE WILSON is full of lies and has no clue what she is doing I've never come across someone so incompetent in my life. They are not worth your money, you're better of finding an agent who actually wants your business or managing the property yourself.
I called twice to inquire about properties that are available. The lady that attended the call twice was really unhelpful and even hung up on me. This is very unprofessional of them. I would avoid them if I were you.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
Bad experience. No one arrived during the viewing. I had been waiting for half an hour in front of the property. It’s very unethical. Tried to contact office no, no one answered.
Seems like Brexit is playing it’s part on the letting market too. Contacted Martin & Co to enquire about a property that has just been put on the market to be let, literally called a few minutes after it landed on Rightmove. I was told someone will call me as soon as they get the keys for the property to arrange a viewing. Of course no one did. I called again the next day just to be told I will be contacted again. I was sent an email asking about our situation to which I replied even though I gave all those details the day before on the phone. Of course no one contacted me. Today I call again just to be told that they are fully booked for viewings on this property. Discrimination at its finest. I have lived in this country for 10 years and I have never been treated so poorly. This is not the first estate agent to treat me like this because of my foreign name. This time I will take it further.
Absolutely useless no one bothered to return my calls after continuously ringing every day for 4 days to try and view a property. Everytime I called it was the same response “I will get someone to call you back” no one e er rang back ... would not recommend using them
Staff were helpful until we signed a tenancy agreement. We were told the flat would be professionally cleaned before moving in but we found it very dirty the bathroom smelled of urine, mouldy crockery in cupboards, litter under beds and sweets embedded in the carpet. Water marks on the bathroom ceiling from a previous leak which we later found out happened years before. It was hard work to get them to repair anything, we had to call them several times before getting it sorted. We decided to decorate a room ourselves to paint over red biro scribbles on the bedroom wall. Before returning the keys we arranged for a professional cleaner to clean throughout and to our surprise we received a 50 page report which gave the impression the flat was dirty. It took a month to get our deposit returned and only after we got shirty about it. Won't be using again
I started my contract in my “NEWLY REFURBISHED FLAT” with no water heater. The issue took 1 month to resolve. No water heater is no small issue, It is legally considered a HAZARD, especially in freezing, cold weather, which should have been resolved in 24 HOURS, not almost a month. There was almost no follow up from their part, I had to call almost ever day to ensure they stay on top of this. It felt as if my problem wasn’t on top of their list .No alternative temporary accommodation was offered, nor any other form of compensation. Rent paid in advance, for whole duration too. Not exactly the expectations I had for a known letting office.
