I just had a cold call from these guys about a flat I sold about 15 years ago. I have never used their services previously. Think they must be desperate. Reading other reviews, they sound like an estate agent to avoid.
Terrible management service- AVOID. Simona gets a particular mention-she is inept, unprofessional and does not understand basic maintenance, insurance and property issues. The quote they obtained for repairing our roof was double what I was quoted from a very reputable roofing company who eventually did the work for us, saving us @£20K.
One of the worst state agencies I ever dealt with! The advertised the wrong flat that was shown in the person viewing!! Misleading information and very unprofessional attitude from both agents and the manager called Angelo that had to chase them for two weeks just to get confirmation of the refrence and move in process, the worst part is they were transferring me to the departments and ignoring my calls constantly then I asked for my holding deposit back as I can’t deal with a agency like that!!
I sold my flat with them and chose them as they are a local agent, and it thought it would be easier but was very wrong. The last 5 months (no chain, first time buyer) have been painful, and reading other reviews I can completely see why the score of this branch is deteriorating. A shame as I bought my flat from them, and they used to have a sales progression team which no longer exists. Since I signed the contract to list my property for sale I barely ever heard from them again. All these guys care about is getting your signature - they couldn’t care less about the service they give. I gave them £6k in commission for doing sweet FA and if I could have legally changed that I would have as they did not earn it - solicitors work so hard and get so little in comparison so the commission they took does not sit well with me based on the service I was given. Once I accepted an offer there was no communication and sadly the vibe they give is very confrontational, arrogant and lazy. Kirrill ignored my emails and I wouldn’t usually name someone individually but unfortunately when selling your house you need to trust the person working with you. I sent 5 emails without response over the course of two weeks when we had gone well past the point of expected exchange and we’re getting no answers from buyers. I had no reply or acknowledgment of my emails asking for him to contact them to reach their solicitor, and to ask him to support with agreeing dates. Bear in mind they haven’t been required to actually do anything since show them round 4 months previous, he never had a clue what was going on, sent very few and very unhelpful emails with no help and lack of action. My solicitor also gave me negative feedback, and when I tried to raise the point to him and his manager I realised that they couldn’t care less. They lack sales progression focus and are very focused on new contracts, and if you’re considering using them I think this should be noted. I had an argumentative, rude reply from him when asking for help and for my emails to be addressed instead of ignored. I escalated and asked Scott Hailou the Managing Director for support to progress sale of my property, and he has also never emailed back, never acknowledged my email or the lack of support after adding him to the chain - the arrogance clearly comes from the top down as these guys don’t care about anything other that getting their cheque. A shame as they used to be alright a few years back, now the agents clearly follow the behaviour of their leadership - I’d take a large swerve from these guys if you’re thinking about selling.
AVOID AVOID AVOID I really don't know where to start with my frustration at Drivers and Norris and in particular Michael Porter who has actually raised the bar on the level of incompetence that was possible. Drivers were allegedly 'Managing' our block, but when Michael took over, the service they were providing became practically non existent. He would never respond to emails or phonecalls, and on the odd occassion when I managed to reach him, it was as if he had total amnesia on the issues that were outstanding and we had previously discussed on numerous occassions. We really needed Drivers to help us in a critical time where urgent repairs needed to be carried out on the property and were having dangerous affects on the building, but we could still not get a Section 20 sent out (after 18 months of trying) and even basic maintenance prooved too much for them. Managing agents are really bad, but Drivers have to be in the top 1% for completely negligent behaviour. I even wrote to the CEO to try and sort the situation out, but received no response. Once they have taken your money, they simply do not care about your property. I think it's a case that they have taken on too many properties and don't have enough staff, and also the fact that the staff that they have eg Michael Porter are completely and utterly incompetent. Really, really guys, you are an embarrasment. If I was that incompetent I would be ashamed to leave my own building!!! Another thing to note... if you employ them as your Managing Agents and try to transfer away to another company, then please factor in a minimum of 6 months for them to be able to forward things such as account information to the new agents!!! Save yourself the trouble and avoid these COWBOYS
Truly one of the worst estate agents I have had the dis-pleasure of dealing with. If you want any information you have to chase and chase, but the worst part is the agents attitudes. They show very little care or consideration for renters which makes moving house even more stressful than it already is. On one occasion I was told by an agent called Sarah in a very un-friendly and abrupt manner that the company was, and I quote, 'doing me a favour' by putting the house I was renting back on the market. What they were actually doing was their job as that's what the landlord has instructed them to do but unfortunately, unnecessary and ill-mannered comments seem to be standard practice for the Holloway Road branch. I never, ever want to deal with them again.
Just saw on TV how you care for vulnerable tenants you should be ashamed of yourself. Profiteering of the poor.
D&N are the service company for the flat I own, the service is very poor, many tasks they charge for are never done.
