What an incredible bunch of people. Estate agents usually have a bad rep - but honestly POPPY was incredible. A really wonderful person and agent. Because I’m being completely honest - it did get a little tricky when I was working with someone else from the agency. One of the agents was trying to corner me to make a higher offer, when my original one had been accepted. That didn’t feel great as then it felt like a business transaction - which is not the vibe I got from Stow Brothers at all and is why I went for them in the first place. Once I was back in Poppy’s hands however, everything ran smoothly and she also checked in with me to ask if I have any questions during the process. These four stars belong to Poppy Robinson-Doughty, if you get to work with her - DO!

A huge thank you to Ben for seliing our house in the first instance. We have used two agencies before, who both fell short of being professional. The only reason why we have given 4 stars and not 5, is the after sales team could have communicated a bit more to update us about an issue. Whilst out of their control, would have saved a lot of my calling. If they tightened up on that, the whole process would have been faultless.

Stow Brothers are one of the few strong and trustworthy estate agents in the local area - always providing value for those who are selling and letting their homes. Georgina was fantastic in supporting me through the process of moving forward with my property - everything was completed within a few weeks and she was always at the other end of a phone if I needed her. Would thoroughly recommend her and the team in the East London area.

Purchased my first flat through Stow Brothers – overall a very good experience and the team are great. Slightly frustrating that the Market was so competitive and offers often went to blind bids, selling quite high over asking. Once I’d had an offer accepted though the team (shoutout to Amy) were super responsive and helpful. Would recommend!

It should probably be 4.5 stars - because they really were very good on the whole - but we are detail people, so request a review from us at your peril! We were looking in a very specific area of Forest Gate - in and around the village, Chestnut Avenue etc. With Crossrail’s Eastern branch going live in May 2019 it felt like there were not many quality but affordable free hold houses North East of the station, but the few that were tend to be represented by Stow Brothers. We probably viewed 10 places before we landed on the one we bought - Ben showed us round and was a cut above the other estate agents we’d encountered in the area. He was professional, friendly, chilled and seemed to be able to offer opinions on what could be done to the house long term with a reasonable degree of credibility. The offer process was handled by Kenny, who again had the human touch and seemed fair enough to both sides. He was proactive and seemed like a smart guy and a good egg. We felt like the other side were not being totally reasonable post survey and we struggled to negotiate downwards, however, I suppose that’s a positive from the sellers POV and I think he did very well by them which is his primary responsibility. From a buyers POV I only have two criticisms- one is that during the offer process, we increased our offer but made it inclusive of furniture and white goods - but when the offer was accepted this condition had been forgotten about (I thought this was quite an oversight and unprofessional, as it would have made calling the seller back very awkward, so we just left it). In the end there was no issue as they offered to leave whatever we wanted anyway - all’s well that ends well. Additionally, the Stow Brothers was left outside the house and as Sold STC on Rightmove even though it was supposed to be ‘off the market’, this left us worried about being gazumped, or broken into if anyone had noticed the house was empty. This is standard industry practice, but I think Stow Brothers are better than that, so I hold them to a higher standard. The acid test, would I sell or buy a house with Kenny, Ben or Stow Brothers if the chance arose again - absolutely! And thanks for the orchid thing - it’s in the bathroom- a very nice touch! Selected The Stowe Brothers after interviewing most local estate agents. We were impressed by their fresh approach and company ethos, including seeking potential buyers outside the local area, absence of sales pressure for our instructions, as well as a competitive rate. Viewings started slowly, possibly due to the poor weather. A subsequent viewing day resulted in two immediate offers. After selection, the sale proceeded smoothly.

Our contact at Stow Brothers was Ben and we had a very positive experience. The relaxed vibe, attitude and approach of Stow Brothers immediately put us at ease and not at all under pressure. We could have an open and honest conversations about potential purchases and never felt strung along. Communication with Ben was very easy and quick both over the phone and email. It felt like he had the best interests of both us as the buyers and the seller in equal measures. Would definitely recommend to future buyers.
