Be warned, we have had a really terrible experience with Martin+Co Oxford. They are off-hand in their approach to clients and left us hanging in a very desperate situation. They are totally money focused and the human side of the transition is swiftly swept out of the way. It's only the money. Do not expect compassion or kindness from them, they are hard! Never have we had a stressful dealings with an agency before this time. We have been through extreme duress and stress with them. We are now taking our case with Martin+Co Oxford to the Property Ombudsman. If you have a choice, go somewhere else.
Harold, I responded to your tenant colleague at length previously about the issues you raised and explained why the criticism is misplaced and unfair. I will not repeat that on this occasion. Kind regards, Bill
Don't want to help don't like answering the phone and it seems that that just want people to get out of there homes so they can have there bonus
I have never been treated so poorly by any estate agent ever. I booked a viewing with Alex, who had promised to send videos of the property over before the in person viewing. He did not do this, and I had to call the office 4 times to confirm my viewing. When it was finally confirmed, myself and a friend travelled four hours to view the property, and received a call 4 minutes before the viewing, whilst we had been standing outside, saying that the viewing was cancelled as the tenants were isolating. I explained that we were hoping to put an offer in for the property that day, and asked if we could stand outside the property and watch the videos as we still hadn’t been sent them and I had a lot of questions. I was told very curtly by Alex that there was nothing he could do and he was on his way to his next viewing. I was astounded by the fact that this lettings agent had the time to find out the tenants were isolating, call the next viewing and rearrange and then make his way to the viewing, but didn’t have the ten minutes he had promised us to simply talk about the property. He clearly wasn’t planning to make his way to the viewing, as he was already off in another direction. He refused to even have a phone call about the property. I was told I would be sent the videos as soon as he hung up- several days later and I still haven’t got them. To make matters worse I tried getting in contact with Alex, who hung up on my calls and when he did pick up was extremely rude, and found out through another agency that the property was under offer the whole time. I am absolute appalled and see why estate agents get such a bad reputation now.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Be careful!! This agency does not respond to you after you end your tenency and it will be very long journey to get your deposit back. I thought that I was unlucky and only one but saw the same situation in the review. Simply, they ignore your email about deposit request and it has been already 7 weeks after end of tenancy. Highly disrecommended!NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
I rent a flat via Martin & Co oxford for three years. Everything was fine when you had the contract with them. As soon as the contract ends, the agency doesn't respond emails regarding return of deposit anymore . It's been over a month and we haven't received anything regarding our deposit. BE CAREFUL ABOUT YOUR DEPOSIT!!NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
Worst agency in Oxford. Trying to rob expats for their own profit.

Awful letting agency. Oxford standards are not that high but this one wins the 'worst agency award'. I am not even going to start telling about how poorly they dealt with the house viewing and references period, but now that we have been tenants for 2 months, they have not sorted any of the issues we raised. Even though they keep blaming it on the Landlord not being responsive, I feel as the agency that deals with the property management they could do something more.
