Have recently moved out of a rental house that the Southville branch let and managed, I rented the property for 3 years. On the initial viewing we were told all white goods were included. This was incorrect, cue complaint 1 and a refund of the check in fee of £150. The inventory we initially recievied was the check out report from the previous tennants...IE out of date. Eventually recieved the correct version after chasing the agent multiple times. In the first year several repairs were required, most were minor, but still took many weeks and in some cases months to fix. However there was a more major problem with a leaking sewage pipe from a toilet. Although these were not necessarily the fault of the agent I had hoped they would be more proactive in chasing the landlord on my behalf. After providing documented evidence of the waiting times for repairs they did waiver the renewal fee on our contract. Finally when we came to move out we reminded the agent that a fridge/freezer was not included with the property. On the one occasion we were in while C J Hole were conducting a viewing for a potential new tennant we heard them state explicitly that all white goods were included. We obviously corrected them but I can only hope for their sake this was an honest mistake rather than a blatant mis-selling. I'd recommend that if you are renting a property from C J Hole Southville that you use email so you have a record of communication, these were answered pretty quickly. I found that the lettings manager Luke was the only person worth talking to for any rental issues. Also don't be afraid to complain...after threats of taking legal advice from the Citizen's Advice Bureau my repair requests were resolved.

One of the worst property renting experiences ever. Extortionate fees, absolutely no work ethic, never chase up problems in the property - we still have a leak through the ceiling under our shower a month after reporting it with no action taken - and just terrible customer service. They just seem to be a bunch of extremely lazy individuals potentially with too much on their plate but absolutely unable to organise their way out of a paper bag! In summary, id rather hammer nails through my foreskin than use CJ Hole again.

Literally the worst estate agent experience I've ever had. First property we lined up to see they 'didn't put it in the calendar' and when we had travelled FROM LONDON to view it and were standing outside, we called and were told it had been let. With no apology. Found another to show us which we liked, and zero follow up. Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole now. After reading some of these other reviews feels like we got off lightly!

Extortionate and unprofessional behaviour from the lettings team. Once my landlord moved to CJ Hole, I moved out as fast as I could!

Having a partner renting through CJ Hole I'm shocked at how half the stuff they get away with is even legal. Would not recommend at all, much better agents in Bristol. People power can get landlords away from using CJ Hole.

Just walk across the road and get an estate agent who gives a monkeys. These guys are very poor and their aftercare is appalling. Whatever they offer, its worth paying more with someone who is competent.
