After lodging complaint noise regarding the neighbours yesterday, Rosie contacted me to find out more information. She listened to what I had to say and said she would be in touch with the neighbours and also notify the landlord. Watch this space!
Patience and help throughout a long term search for a 'forever' home ... and success achieved. Katy and Becky especially helpful throughout the search.
On the whole a positive experience with Thomas Morris; especially with Jemma the sales progressor who has been nothing but pleasant and proactive in her role of assisting in making sure everything progressed and was not delayed where possible. Jemma was also reactive in her work when concerns were raised too regarding waiting on particular paperwork, which allowed us to have rapid answers to our queries. Unfortunately liaison and communication with other members of staff prior to this, at the beginning and middle stages of our purchase; were not so positive. I have raised these concerns to the branch and fed back that communication was poor and the handover between staff was also lacking. Due to less than efficient handover we ended up with a delay in getting some answers/information across to the seller for several weeks, maybe near a month. I have been informed that it will be discussed as to handovers and communication between the team however no further feedback has been given. Other than the aforementioned concerns, there have been no other hiccups. Many thanks to Jemma for assisting us in the latter stages of our first house purchase
Hi Becky, I did receive your message yesterday, sorry I was working. My feedback on the property is as follows. Your zoopla advert says this property is "immaculately presented". I suggest that the person writing the ads actually sees the property because this property was horrendous!! Also, had I known this I would not have travelled 1 1/2 hours from london to see it. 3 hour round trip. £20 of petrol. Not only did the property smell like someone had died there, but also the owner didn't even bother to clean it out ! The 2nd toilet off from the master bedroom was piled full of rubbish and the walls were mouldy ! The bathroom looked like it was derelict and no one had cleaned it for years. In short the place was so awful the think the owner would be better off paying someone to take it off his hands. Becky, your statement that " it needs some work " was a gross understatement. I wish you or one of your colleagues told me this before I drove up there.
TM represented our vendors and I found Katy Poore, Branch Manager at the St.Ives branch very responsive, once I pointed out that the vendor was not receiving the support she should from their solicitors. The team were very welcoming when we first put in an offer on the property and took our details to their office but perhaps could have kept track of progress (or lack thereof) a bit closer. There were times where TM could have been more attentive to the progress of the transaction though, as we ended up discovering very close to exchange of contracts that there were still some critical enquiries outstanding from our vendors solicitors.
