Review of Nicol and Co
I had a really good experience of buying a house through Nicol and Co. They were friendly, responsive, and worked quickly to help me achieve a quick sale. Being able to communicate by email was good for me, and communication with Leanne particularly was excellent.

Highly proactive and great customer service
Nicol & Co. team have been excellent from the very first call. They have inspired confidence, listened to our needs, laid out all the options and given great advice. They were so proactive that we've already had 3 viewings before the property was formally on the market.

Professional, proactive, positive company
We chose Nicol & Co because of Nathans (Jackman-Smith) dedication to our home prior to it going on the market. He was very proactive in finding potential buyers and gave honest and concise feedback. Further credit needs to go to Jo and Tom. We would have awarded 5 stars had we not discovered that another member of the team was not fully knowledgable whilst showing our home.

Awful customer service
As potential buyers for a house that Nicol & Co showed us around we found their service from start to finish dreadful. From the phone call I made to book the appointment which nearly put me off going, to the rushed and unorganised viewing, to being put on the spot in front of the vendor to give feedback, to the follow up phone call where even after telling them the viewing wasn’t good I didn’t get an apology. In all the other dealings we’ve had with estate agents, we’ve been really happy with the phone calls and viewings.

Lettings: poor service, aggressive, defensive, never fix repairs
Rented a property through Nicol&Co and would not recommend this agent for lettings. Seemed very accommodating at first but once they've got your money, you can wave goodbye to a decent level of service from them. A couple of examples: a window was broken and they were more concerned about an potential insurance claim against them arising from broken glass falling on a passing pedestrian, rather than the fact the pedestrian might be scarred for life and seriously injured or even killed if broken glass falls on them. In fixing this, they gave the keys to my home to a sub-contractor of a sub-contractor, who was unknown to them and told him he could enter my home whether I was there or not. Long story short, he was an unsavoury character who entered my home when he thought I would be at out at work, despite my specific and repeated instructions not to do so. When I complained to Nicol&Co, they told me that I did not need to know when he would be letting himself in. They were very defensive and tried to justify their appalling contempt for tenant safety, security and peace of mind. Another example: I had a water leak in the bathroom which Nicol&Co made no effort to fix for literally a year and a half. When I later needed repairs to a broken light fitting in the bathroom and another water leak, Nicol&Co ignored these outstanding repairs for 6 months until I eventually withheld the rent in protest. True to form, the money-focused employees at Nicol&Co then suddenly gave it their attention, but not without sending me an email containing threats, lies and fabricated laws. This company claim they provide a high level of service to tenants, but this is laughable as they are a greedy lettings agent who are only interested in the money and treat their tenants with contempt, rudeness and dishonesty. I would recommend avoiding this agent if you are looking to rent a property in Worcestershire.

Disappointing
Six months ago I found a house to rent that was marketed by nicol&co. I informed the letting department that I would like to rent the house however they just never called me back. Despite chasing the agent no response. Six months later new search. Despite my better judgement I called this agent about one of their properties. I was told the same member of staff in lettings would call me back with info. My heart sank when I heard the staff members name. Guess what true to form no contact made!! How do they ever let a property I wonder!!
