Until my parents passed away, Intercounty Bishops Stortford let out their estate (to tenants that refused to vacate the property and caused thousands of pounds of damage). I am now being harrassed with emails addressed to my parents five years after the fact, despite the company being aware of their passing in 2017. There is no easy way to unsubscribe despite the OFCOM requirement. This is highly distressing as it is a constant reminder of my loss and deeply frustrating as the company began this harassment out of the blue. I highly recommend avoiding Intercounty both from a professional stand point if you are renting out your property, and from a privacy one as they are unscrupulous with your contact details.

Disappointing, dismissive and useless. To beging with, the selling team were nice enough and very communicative. Even if there were mistakes along the way they always seemed to find means to fix it, at least until the deposit was paid. But once the money were sent, and you signed the last document for the property; if you have any issues whatsoever with the it they will not interfere. YOU have to deal with EVERYTHING, there were health and safety issues with our rental and the landlord agreed to end the tenancy early because they sent someone to evaluate the flat and there were serious issues; "the property manager" said this is not up to her and she can't help with any of the issues and to contact the landlord as he is the one who manages the property...shocking!!!! What is the purpose of Intercounty then? You can go and rent directly from the landlord in this case. Also Extremely rude and absolutely USELESS ... Unprofessional! This whole time looked only at ways to not take full RESPONSIBILITY, and "the property manager" tried to pretend that she wasn't aware of the situation, and when it was brought to her attention that emails have been sent with every detail, once she did see that everything was documented she then ignored us and did not answer the phone or her emails, only showing that she has no idea how to handle a situation. So I don't understand how can you be a property manager when you are solely relying on the landlord to deal with this, the tenant is left to whom? the tenant is left completely unprotected. What property are you managing? Or am I to understand that your job description is only to send a checklist and that is it? Tracey Coulthard was an absolute tool or at least behaving like one in this case and completely left me appalled of her lack of interest and unprofessionalism in finding a resolution; her main concern being to find ways to dismiss us, instead of helping closing this situation. Really goes to show what good people (or the lack of them) goes to ruin one's reputation.

Shocking agent. No principles. Unprofessional and not to be trusted. Avoid like the plagueNegativeQuality, Professionalism
Very disappointed and very poor service. Took our details regarding a property we were interested in. Drove 50 miles to visit a property which we liked and we put in an offer above asking price. Informed Ted that this was not our final offer. Was told that they will get back to us . Just saw that the property was taken off the market as it is now stc. As a company I do not see how they can say that they pride themselves in being proactive with customer service. As usual we had the spiel from the sales manager Peter Cuffaro about how on the occasion they have not delivered good service and offering his apologies. And that there will be many more properties coming on the market soon as if after all this we want to do business with Intercounty. Apologies do not replace the time wasted . It is companies like Intercounty that give an unfavourable reputation about Estates agents .NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Very disappointed. Took my details re a property I was interested in which came off the market. Never contacted me to let me know it was available. Now sold. Clearly do not act upon their promises.
Terrible service. As a tenant, I constantly have to chase the agents. It took 2 months to get some spare keys, 6 months to renew a renting contract, they don't tell you when part of a deposit has to be refund due to a change of the regulation and so far still waiting for the rest of the deposit to be secured. However when they need something it has to be done immediately, like paying the £500 if admin fees.
Avoid at all costs, if I could give them no stars I would! They don't complete the inspection checks as promised and look after your property. Do not use their recommended conveyancing service premier property lawyers as they are totally incompetent.
Worst ever agency I have seen, they charge you for doing a check out inspection £120.00, don't do repairs when reported, took off our £347.00 for damages that where made up while the check out report from the so called independent company, said the house was left in a "good and tidy condition" We felt discriminated they kept asking for our immigration documents every time, while we had submitted to them, 1 month before moving out they started looking for stupid reasons to keep our deposit. My advice is stay away from this agency.
