Horrible, I've send couple of emails, call them twice regarding a viewing. Never got a response from them.
I contacted Martin and Co Horsforth on Friday to report a boiler issue causing no hot water and heating. The out of hours line notified me on the day that they’ll treat this as an emergency. Not a single response or callout was made, i decided to ring up for an update on Tuesday (4 days later) and spoke to a rude woman by the name of Caroline who said she doesn’t care and hung the phone up. Never experienced such horrible customer service from a company before. And when I do get a buy to let, i definitely know which estate agent to avoid! Avoid this branch - this member of staff called ‘Caroline’ is disgusting cheeky little rat!

So Today we viewed a rental property with Martin & Co. Horsforth. The property was lovely, great area etc… so naturally we emailed the estate agents to secure and provide an application form to hopefully secure this property. We emailed at 11.55am and heard nothing back for a couple of hours. We called and left our details after being told someone would ring us back with the updates on our application. Still having not filled out an application form and heard nothing back until 3pm when we received this email below. Naturally we called the estate agents and queried this as we hadn’t received an application form to fill in. Apparently the decision had been made by 2.30pm and we had been unsuccessful. Below are the two people who stopped us from even filling out an application, as they chose other candidates who “suited their criteria”. When asked how we didn’t fit the criteria, Alison stated that this wasn’t her place to say, and she wasn’t dealing with our property. The estate agent who showed us the property asked our relationship and we openly informed her that we are a same sex couple, to which she looked extremely displeased. This is the same estate agent who has given the landlord the information of other applicants, but not ours. Which I find is a bit of a coincidence. When I asked Alison if this was to do with our homosexual relationship, she stuttered, became aggressive and very rude over the phone and hung up on us after stating that she wouldn’t talk this through, without offering any information as to why we didn’t get an application form like the other applicants. I was a landlord with them, and had a small issue with our tenants. Richard was very unprofessional in his demeanour. He was not impartial. He used offensive language towards me. Very unpleasant experience.NegativeProfessionalism
Shocking customer service . contacted 3 times to arrange a viewing never got back to me . Booked a viewing on there web site still no reply . The house sold and never got the chance to view it. If your thinking of selling with these think again you could be missing out on a higher offer .

Absolute cowboys! Had no end of trouble with Martin and Co Horsforth. If you are considering renting a property with them... DON'T! They have scammed me many times with general maintenance issues by charging me call out fees for repairs …
