AVOID. Absolutely terrible service. 4 days before I was due to move in to a property which I had already paid a deposit and first month’s rent for, as well as having signed a contract, I was told the property had been sold so I could no longer move in. I was never even informed that the property was up for sale. This was over a week ago and despite phoning every day and speaking to 6 or 7 different people at Chancellors I have still not been refunded any of my money!
My sister put a deposit and first months rent of £1130 on a house to rent (also signed a contract) , 4 days before she was going to move in they told her the property had sold, they did not inform her the property was even for sale. They still haven’t refunded her any of her money which they said they would in 3-5 working days (now been well over that) She has now had to use all of her months wages for the deposit and first months rent on another property (with a decent estate agent) and has informed them of this and they just keep fobbing her off! Absolutely disgusting company! AVOID
I would highly recommend giving these guys a miss..... Or at least the leominster branch anyway. Absolutely appalling service. We certainly won't be approaching this company with our money in the future.
Absolutely useless in property management. I’m not sure what service I’m getting for the astronomical fee they’re charging but I’m starting to think I can do a better job managing the property myself from Australia. It’s taken Chancellors 3 months to get a gas safety certificate passed and with poor communication to contractors, it’s costing me more money because guys turn around up to the property “without the right part” for the job. High staff turnover is also a sign of the rotten culture. Avoid this firm like the plague.
Absolutely disgraceful. 48 hours before my step daughter was due to move into a rental property Chancellors have told her that the move cannot go ahead. She has a signed contract and has paid the deposit. No one is responding to phone calls or emails. Spent the whole morning trying to get hold of someone to find out what is happening.
What is happening with Camberley branch??? Grabbed our holding deposit and it is impossible to get them to process the rental of the property? Not responding to emails, calls, excuses “working from home”. Up until grabbing the holding deposit the communication was fast and keen?? Shame for such an abysmal service!
Very unreliable. Have been waiting since this morning for a call back for a key code to a new property for my uncle to move into. We have spoken to various employees who have promised to be in contact but to no avail. We are currently sat outside his now previous property with removal vans packed and ready to go to the new property. He had to vacate his property by 12pm today he is 72 and now homeless. We have visited the office in Brecon and that is also closed. We are disgusted with the service or lack of that has or in this case not been provided.
avoid them!! two viewings arranged with them. one in Oxfordshire and one in Wiltshire, but agents did not show up at all. made us to drive 1:30 hours and realising the house is under offer since a month ago. would not be looking to buy a house if being advertised by them.

Once again we have been completely failed by the Chesham branch and its managers. Our previous tenants vacated the property 4 months ago. It was recommended by Chancellors that we collect a small cleaning fee for the condition that the property was left in. Despite holding the deposit, Chancellors have still not released the cleaning money owned to us from the tenants. What’s more disappointing, is unprofessional behavior of the Chesham branch. They have been ignoring calls and passing us around different people to appear that they are resolving the issue. It is very clear that they have no intention of giving us the cleaning fee or resolving the issue. Staff are rarely responded to emails and are unwilling to carry out the tasks that they are paid to do as property managers. This is just one issues we have had, and we no longer have Chancellors managing the property. Avoid like Covid!
