Avoid this company like the plague had 2 sales fall through on my house, withheld information from us to further delay us. Moved to another estate agent had to contact the CEO to get out of contract. Sold house via other estate agent at lower price for chancellors to come back and say original chain is back on only to find out 3 weeks later that it was all a cock and bull story. If I could mark a minus star I would. *****update 27/7/16 . please see further information as to how bad this company is in my replies below. They get worse as it goes on******
Really useless trying to rent a place with chancellors. I'm sorry for the owners because we couldn't find a place to rent because of the bad professionals working there.
Dealings with the Surbiton branch have been the worst I've ever experienced from a letting agency. Rude letting agent, extremely unhelpful yet incredibly demanding and harassing when they want something, and no assistance provided at any step of the journey. Absolutely disgraceful service.
Extremely disappointed with the Woking sales Team. Every time we spoke to a person on the team we were given different information and not a single clear answer. A team of amateur. No credibility at all.
Slow, dreadful communication, more talk than action, high fees and not the right level of experience. I won't sell a property through them again - there are several other companies who actually value your buisiness.
Highly disappointed, been waiting for a call back for almost 6 days, called about 6 times, wasted my annual leave as I have been promised a viewing and no one bothered to call back to confirm booking.
Chancellors Slough- I'm a first time buyer who works full time therefore I cannot regularly attend property viewings during office hours. Because of this nobody in their office will speak to me, I'm repeatedly fobbed off with "somebody will call you back." Of course nobody EVER calls back! I've got the head office to request the manager to call me and still no call. If I could give less than 1* I would!!! So so angry.
Well I do not know where to even start with this. Chancellors of Bracknell are the worst agents I have ever dealt with in the 15 years of renting properties. We moved into a property that Chancellors are managing on behalf of the landlord, giving them 3 weeks notice to get the already vacant property cleaned and prepped, only to find that not a thing was cleaned and the tiler was only booked in to start on the day of the check in. All they seem to do is blame other people for their mismanagement. I could go on and on with Chancellors incompetence, but I need to use my time to sort THEIR mismanagement. Extremely frustrated and annoyed at the moment is an understatement. Perhaps the landlord needs to be informed of what they are paying for.
I would like to share my experience as a seller with the Aylesbury branch. First I was quite surprised with the valuation of the property but was assured the property was priced correctly at £250,000. As I have lived in the road for 15 years I have seen many houses sold. All of which were resasonably priced and sold within a period of 2-6 weeks. Since I have been advertising with Chancellors, for 2 months, 2 properties have come on the market and are showing sold signs. I have had 12 viewings but no feedback. I had one offer in the first 2 weeks of £235,000 but was advised not to accept this as they could achieve closer to the asking price, stupidly I agreed. I realised this was a sensible offer and contacted the Branch to accept this, had to chase them for feedback to be told that the potential buyer was also looking at another property, no other feedback was received. After the experience with the offer I started to look closer into the way the sale was being dealt with, I posed as a potential buyer, gave requirements to match my property, bedrooms, area, size etc but was told that no appropriate properties were available in that area nor was it suggested that I went onto their mailing list. I have found the services of this branch in all departments to be inadequate, for example, lack of communication, unsuitable advice, no feedback, new and inexperienced/untrained staff and when telephoning the line diverts to the Head Office. We did talk about putting the house price down and I felt £235,000 was realistic but the branch did not and advised £240,000 which I did not agree with, the price therefore remained the same. I have taken my concerns to Head Office as the branch have not acknowledged them. When I advised I wanted to withdraw my property from their services I was told by the manager that he did not have the authority to release me from the contract and he quickly reminded me that I was legally bound by the contract. After my experience I have lost all trust and confidence with this branch to sell my house within the 24 week 0% commission period. I would recommend anyone wanting to sell their home to avoid falling into this trap and go elsewhere. Will keep you updated and maybe Head Office will redeem themselves.
Still waiting on my deposit!! Moved out well over a month ago once you sign that paper they couldn't give a monkeys anymore, terrible service from the branch in High Wycombe absolutely appalling, will be telling everyone I know to boycott this sorry excuse for a company. Been pretty much ignored and lied to from the minute we signed that lease. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!
