Parkers in Market Place, Reading; I am so pleased and highly recommend this estate agent. They are very hepful, well experienced staff, friendly and reliable. They know how to deal with problems straight away and give you realistic advise, very honest indeed. Keep up the good work guys!!!!

Good advice on pricing. Flat sold very quickly to a reliable buyer. No messing around with silly offers etc just a sensible and expedient transaction.

I found Parkers aftersales

I found Parkers aftersales service quite professional. In the 1.5 years we have lived in the property, we hardly faced any issues barring a couple of occassions when we had not water. But this was given due importance the situation was re-stored very quickly after a request was made to the office. I hope Parkers give me additional discount on administrative charges when I look for a property to let next time. Overall good service. Couple of areas of improvements : 1) The adminstrative charges are exhorbitant (I cannot quite fathom being charged £400 for printing out documents, inventory checking and very less proactiveness from the sales staff) Only if this could be reduced to a more purse friendly amount. 2) Parkers did not allow any contact with the landlord, thereby introducing additional layer for any issues (although we did not face very many). But this should be more discretionary if tenants are well behaved - which was the case with us.

Good service, always

Good service, always available when I needed them - helps to have people in the office so late!! People showing us round could have been slightly more helpful but other than that a great service!

I used Parkers Reading branch

I used Parkers Reading branch both as letting agents for a period of one year before selling the property through them, and in both capacities I found them to be very professional, friendly, and offering a very good service. I would have no hesitation in recommending them, or using them again in the future should the need arise.

As a buyer last year with Parkers we had a mixed experience, and wouldn't trust them in the future (as buyers or sellers). The initial contact with the sales team was great, very helpful to arrange the viewings and clear/quick best offer process. But things went downhill once our offer was accepted and we moved to the negotiation team. Poor communication about how things were progressing with the sellers, and absolutely nothing happened over the 2 months summer holiday when they knew our MIP was expiring early October. This was at the time when interest rates were rapidly increasing, and we told Parkers with months notice that should we lose our mortgage offer, we would have to lower our offer on the house. They were very dismissive, arguing that the housing market was doing very well, was still a seller market despite the skyrocketing interest rates, and that the sellers wouldn't accept our lower offer. In the end the top of the chain pulled out because things were so slow, our lower offer was rejected immediately (they laughed at us on the phone) so we pulled out and found another house 2 days later. Parkers called us a few days later to say the sellers would consider dropping 20k on the price, which we rejected since we had already found something else. They did manage to sell but completed more than a year (!) after we completed our own purchase. They dropped the price twice, probably selling 25-50k under our initial offer. We can understand the sellers choice, but really Parkers attitude was ridiculous. It was obvious that all buyers were going to be affected by the mortgage rates increase, and their advice to the sellers were really poor.
