Overall Parkers were pretty good at both selling our property and helping us to find a property in a very active market. I think they could have listened to us more particularly when it came to doing viewings of our property which, at times, was inconvenient. They held viewings on an ad hoc basis and it would have suited us better if the viewings had been in a block due to our circumstances. The set up made the viewings quite stressful. They did, however, keep us informed regularly of the progress of our sale and purchase. The sale and purchase were both done through Parkers which also made it more convenient. Confusion did occur, however, with a number of different staff members looking after our account. This meant that we didn't have one point of contact, although Parkers do state in their terms that you will be assigned one sales agent who will look after your account. This didn't occur in our case and muddled information was, at times, passed onto us as a result. It became apparent that our file had not always been kept updated. The process of selling and buying was also much longer than initially anticipated although I don't think that Parkers were 100% at fault because of this as so much is involved in the process and, as I said before, the market was particularly busy during the time that we sold and purchased. I think that certain sales staff let the pressure of the job show through at times, as, when speaking to them on the phone, certain sales staff did come across as abrupt and verging on being a bit discourteous. This is something which needs to be worked on. There were a few errors made as well. I believe that this is because Parkers are a smaller concern and only have a small sales team who were finding the busier marketplace somewhat challenging. This information was relayed to me and I'm not sure that this is something which should have been passed onto a client. Overall, despite my criticisms, I think that Parkers are one of the better estate agents in Reading and I'm happy that they achieved both the sale and purchase of my property to my satisfaction. I purchased my current property from them 19 years ago and have now sold and am buying my current property from them and I would consider using them again in the future if the need arises.

Great team in the Renting department. Any problems that cropped up they sorted. Fees are very high and almost put me off. Hopefully long term they will be worth it.

Professional service, kept fully informed and Parkers were completely transparent about the house purchasing process. Was good to get a weekly update call from them, even if there had been no significant progress to report. Definitely would recommend them for house purchase.

We did not have an especially easy sale (not due to Parkers, but matters out of their control). I found Damien very helpful and friendly on the phone. However, a number of other parties in the chain commented that their calls to him were not always being returned in a timely manner, and that - in a time pressured situation - that he was not exhibiting much of a sense of urgency. I sometimes found that I would have liked more updates, even if it was a "there is still no news but we are waiting for X to respond". A number of times I had to chase to get an update on the situation. However, I reiterate, I found the service on the whole good.

Once I decided to move to Reading to be closer to work I had to move very quickly. Once I found a property through Parkers, the agents were very understanding and moved very quickly sorting out my references and ensuring I was in my new property in a week.

Parkers offered a competitive fee and are one of the better agents when coming to sell terrace properties in central Reading. Provided a good service and kept me up to date with all viewings. My only negative is that one of the agents who showed viewings round was more a 'key holder' than someone who gave positive advice about the property if the viewer was not sure of certain facts about a property of this age e.g "this second bedroom is quite small", "well if thats the only problem then it only costs £x to take the chimney out and is easy to do". During the sale they kept the process moving at a good rate and kept me informed of everything that was going on. They also provided help in liaising with the buyers solicitors to keep the chain moving when my buyers probate was causing delays Overall a good service as I would expect from an agent selling your property

Looking for my own place in a restricted period of time, Daniel from Parkers has been extremely helpful in selecting for me a few properties to look at, all in my price range and in the appropriate location, on the very same afternoon. I ended up selecting one of them. Being foreign and for the first time renting a flat in the UK, Parkers has proven to be extremely patient with all my questions. Once the process is engaged, it seems harder to get things done for certain (I have yet to receive some paperwork and it doesn't seem the carpets have been cleaned professionally as promised), and yet the staff is always pleasant and somehow willing to help if you are persistent enough. All in all very pleased with the service, hope they keep up the good work during my tenancy!
