Really unhappy with their service. The latest issue is that we wish to leave the property before the end of the contract and declared we are happy to pay the penalty fee of £450 for the landlord to find another tenant (property at S62).And that is where everything stopped. We are happy to pay whatever they told us and still they disappeared wasting our time and money. The more time passes the less it makes sense for us.Really bad service and had a similar experience of bad service in Birmingham for that company.Update: After pushing to get a response we got a negative response which makes 0 sense. I believe they never actually asked and let the contract run. If we leave at the end of the contract the landlord will pay to find a new person whereas we now offer to pay that for him. Makes 0 sense. 100% they never asked.
Worst estate agency ever . Would give 0 stars if I could . Canceled all plans and requested day off from work, Travelled 45 minutes for a house viewing only to find nobody there as the house was already sold but the agency never bothered to let us know .so unprofessional
Tried to view 5 properties over the past 3 months and not one has been successful, do not respond to emails or answer the phone ..... feel for the people paying them to sell their properties.
Complete letdown from start to finish
If I could give this company MINUS 5 stars I would! We attempted to sell a bungalow through Martin & Co in September 2019 (well that was the initial date) and as of last week (3rd February 2020), the details were still incorrect or missing. We requested that floor plans were included, that the price stated was “in the region of” as opposed to “in excess of” and also that Martin and Co actually advertised the property on their own website (Rightmove for example included the advertisement)!!!. Despite numerous communications, none of these requests were completed and needless to say we have cancelled their services and moved to an alternative Agent. After 2 days our new Agent has fulfilled our requests, with no requirement for additional engagement or clarification. The whole performance was poor from start to finish and the most appalling customer service I have had the displeasure of experiencing. How on earth an Estate Agent can engage a client, initialise a sale (inclusive of signage at the property), yet not advertise this on their own website is beyond me? I add specific pertinence to the fact that this debacle continued for 6 months with multiple attempts to rectify with zero progress.
Why have an answering service when they can't give any information other than call back! It says the office is open until 3pm on the website.
I'm actually pretty annoyed that I have to give this company 1 star in order to leave a review. I had an offer accepted on a house and received a congratulations email and was told to pass over my details and find a solicitor. Once my details have been received, they would take the house off the market as sold stc. On that evening, I sent all relevant information to the man handling the property. The weekend passed and my partner rang the office Monday morning to make sure they'd received our details Friday evening to which he was told they were doing relevant checks on these. In the mean time, we looked for a conveyancer as we were told this would speed up the process. We found a good one and paid the £300 deposit to start the searches needed for the house. We thought it was quite odd that the estate agent wasn't communicating with us so we tried to speak to him again on the Wednesday. To which we finally got in contact with him for him to tell us that a second offer was placed Monday evening (after receiving our mortgage details and promising to take the house off the market) to which he then advised the vendor to take their offer instead of ours. I am now out of pocket for my conveyancing deposit due to this immoral and terrible decision.
Alarm going off on a property under Martin and Co for 3 days. They have done nothing to resolve
