Hi Susan, we fully understand (and share) your frustration and the team were very disappointed that this sale didn't go through. It's not true that we didn't care and I can see that Chris and the team contacted the vendor on many occasions trying to get a better understanding of when they would be in a position to move. We very much regret the position the vendor put you and us in. Your deposit was processed in full within 4 working days after you vacated therefore I cannot understand your reason for leaving this review.

We always allow for fair wear and tear. Having to hold tenants accountable for issues at the end of a tenancy is incredibly time consuming and of no benefit to Martin & Co whatsoever, we would much prefer that tenant's leave properties clean and tidy without damage. All deposits we take are held within an approved deposit scheme and subject to legislation about what can and can't be claimed for, we need to provide suitable evidence for any claim to be successful. Claims for "Silly faults" would be rejected by the relevant deposit scheme, we much prefer to have full deposits returned at the end of a tenancy which is the case for the majority of tenancies where tenants have looked after the property
