Very argumentative service providers. Felt pressured by the responses I received. They didn't like my simple suggestion - indicate the location of the flat in the building, especially as this one was a basement flat without any windows - so people showing interest will not waste their time calling the agency about the flats if their needs are not met. I was told, in an argumentative and offended-sounding manner, that this is not necessary. After the impolite response I received, I asked to be taken off of the system. I had to repeat my request several times before it was completed, simply because they refused to do so at the first few times. Unbelievable!

Thank you for your feedback, I have spoken to the member of staff who called you, she was sorry you felt in any that she was unhelpful. She assures me that she did her upmost to listen to your requests and went through all the property details with you, to ensure it met your criteria before booking you in for a viewing to ensure you were happy with what we were going to show you. Regarding not liking your simple suggestion, she merely advised you that the property is an exceptional opportunity, so it is good to be able to talk applicants through the property first, before dismissing it, she refutes that at any time did say your suggestion was not necessary. She confirms she did not refuse to take your details off our system she merely asked you to clarify once in case we had the perfect property come on the market in future which you may want to view. You advised no, you no longer wanted to register so your request was then actioned. This member of staff always conducts herself in a professional and helpful manner, and indeed is the reason for most of our 5-star reviews confirming this. This agency has yet to complete a single task properly (in almost 5 years) but has me charged hundreds of pounds for their lack of service (as a private rental tenant). I'm glad to see the back of them.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

This was a tenant find service we provided to the landlord for this tenant. If she had any concerns, she should have raised them with the agency, and if they were to do with the tenancy we could have pointed her in the direction of the landlord. All her rents were paid directly to the landlord, so we really find this feedback unjustifiable. Please read our other very positive reviews, to see we are not a one star agent, all our staff takes great pride to be helpful to all our clients, we do appreciate sometimes things don't go to plan, but we always do what we can within our remit to remedy the situation. *** WARNING *** To all tenants and landlords ***WARNING *** I had the unfortunate pleasure of being both a landlord and tenant with Martin & Co. The owner and staff are unprofessional and incompetent. Save yourself a lot of hassle and use another agent, they are terrible

This person was a tenant for 5 years, and wanted to buy the property from the landlord. Our landlord was unwilling to sell, so he bought the property next door. We helped him end his tenancy early. Even our gardener would not go to the property for fear of being spoken to in a manner most upsetting. The landlord paid for the gardener so it would not be too much work for the tenant! We really were the bad guys for doing all this for him. He has just posted this feedback when he moved out a year and a half ago! We were also an agent of tenant find for this tenants flat, we matched him up with a fabulous tenant. Some people have nothing better to do than give negative feedback unnecessarily! I hope he is enjoying his new home.

Would not recommend you let or rent through them. Her reply is nonsense, I let. through them for 1 year and they were awful. Have been a tenant since 2008 and hands down the worst experience I've ever had

For tenants: You have to be really careful with this company. They sometimes use very old good looking photos for the check in inventory while they would do really careful checkout to make sure they take every penny out of you.

Thank you for your feedback, I think you misunderstand how the inventory works, you were given 3 days to add your comments & any pictures you wanted to add if you disagree with anything on the inventory. Our Inventory clerk is fully qualified by ARLA to conduct inventories to a high standard using the latest software which allows tenants to add anything they need to point out that they feel has been missed. He has 10 years experience conducting inventories & checkouts, and has a good eye for detail. You only moved in November 2000 & not done a checkout yet, so I'm a bit perplexed about your comment for any charges! Again you will be given opportunity to disagree with anything we believe should be charged by the DPS (Deposit) arbitration team at the end of your tenancy. This is a very unfair comment when we have not made any charges to you. I understand you moved here from another country, where perhaps things are very different to the UK. We are a professional ARLA agent and work to the highest standards as set out by our professional body. This tenant also complained to the point of harassment when the boiler was not producing enough hot water at the property, the landlord agreed & arranged a new boiler to be fitted only for the tenant to cancel the plumber not to come for a further 2 weeks! We were not notified & drove to the property to deliver heaters while work commences only to be told by tenants they cancelled the work with the plumber. Please read our other very positive reviews, to see we are not a one star agent, all our staff takes great pride to be helpful to all our clients, we do appreciate sometimes things don't go to plan, but we always do what we can within our remit to remedy the situation. Poor service from start to finish. would avoid at all costs. Worst estate agent I have dealt with in the last 30 years of buying and selling houses.
