I have had to leave a one star review as there is no zero! I applied for a property through Whitegates, was sent an application to fill in, and returned it the some day. I then made a follow up cal to make sure they had received it, which I was told they had and they would be in touch to arrange a viewing, which never happened. Due to a disability, which was stated on my application, the property I was after was a three bedroom bungalow, ideal for me. I called again today to be told I would not be getting a viewing as these had taken place and a holding cost was already paid. Can you imagine my disgust to be told “we have made an error” this does not help my situation at all. Please be aware you will need to constantly check up if you have applied for a property, so you don’t get forgotten about and not even contacted. Not happy is an understatement!!!

Extremely poor customer service. Had to contact them several times just to get the application form after the viewing. No follow up or feedback of any sort after sending the application. The office is closed due to covid reasons therefore only calls can be made. Extremely inefficient in every aspect, would not recommend at all. Would give 0 stars if that was an option.

They are prejudiced. They offer the property to who fits thier own fancy. They advertise and pretend the property is not available if they dont like you. Very unprofessional Maria to name a few of the women there!

Take Maria off the phones. I've never met a salesperson so impolite. You'd think she's selling bad manners not property. I most definitely will not be calling back, and judging by the other reviews, I won't be expecting a callback either. Customer service training is most definitely needed.NegativeProfessionalism

Gave this branch my property to let, after weeks of no joy in leasing out, they recommended repairing damaged fence, clearing out old damaged furniture in the property, clean up & tidy up of property, they advised this would cost me but would help in getting the property leased as would be more attractive to potential tenants, I agreed advising any furniture stored in garage be left alone as it was stored for if future tenants required it etc. The works were carried out but still property was not leased, I manage to find potential tenant myself so went to their branch to have my keys return and withdraw their service for lease. They advised before return the key I must pay for the works carried out by their contractor, I made the payment and was given the keys. Upon inspecting my property the outdoors were cleaned up with fence repaired but indoor old furniture was still there, the garage had been fully cleared out, this included good nick valuable items which had to be replaced for future tenants. Following this I started to receive letters from the estate agency claiming I still owed payment, I called them to clear up but got challenged they claimed no record of me making payment, this followed regular letters with threats of legal action. Total incompetent staff as they advised when collecting keys their policy is not to return keys to landlords until any outstanding balances are cleared up hence payment being made to them plus left me out of pocket yet cheeky b@@@#$%! Had an appointment for Friday afternoon. They forgot and they didn't even call to apologise or rearrange.

Wouldn’t rate these agents one star if that was an option. May issues with property reported promptly to them and either not actioned at all or after a very long period of time. What an awful experience as a tenant. The lettings staff were problematic to deal with throughout and the whole experience in dealing with them was utterly awful.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism
