I absolutely love my new property but the absolutely worst feature is having to deal with rude, patronising and sheer mean staff at whitegates huddersfield. Their behaviour is really strange towards me and really off. I have never in my life ever been treated like this as I am a good tenant, my previous landlord being on very good terms with him for instance. Had disgraceful attitude to a boiler that they will not fix so having to tell kirklees council to complain about them Further to the response from whitegates I hope people will make their own minds up about how real or relevant my complaints are/were, just to clarify it took 8 months to mend the boiler. I moved in to a freezing property and got shouted at for ringing to complain about no heat in wintertime. Thank god im moving out so i never have to deal with these obnoxious clowns ever again.
I had the unfortunate experience of renting from Whitegates at 12 Rook Street, Apartment 5. Throughout the year, I faced persistent issues: missing keys, a broken letterbox, a mold-infested bathroom that led to health problems, and a manager, Tracey Nelson, who exhibited bullying behavior. Despite my continuous efforts to communicate and resolve these issues, the lack of responsiveness from the team was shocking. Even after moving out, communication breakdowns and undisclosed charges persisted. Regrettably, my attempt to resolve matters amicably has proven futile. What's worse, even after a month, I still haven't received my deposit back, and no one has bothered to contact me. A year-long nightmare that concluded with a complete disregard for tenant concerns. 1 star is generous. Emailed Chan and a week later no response. There is also clear discord between building manager and estate agents. 2-3months later I got my deposit back 😂😂 they actually took the piss my God of I ever see a place leased by Whitegates I’d rather be homeless

If you could put 0 stars I would. Service is very poor. When we cancelled our agreement they tried to charge a very high fee. We had nothing agreed but they took the tenants rent as payment. No communication at all. If you are thinking about getting them to manage DONT.
I cannot recommend this firm due to their highly unprofessional service. On two separate occasions, I had scheduled property viewing appointments, and both times, the viewing officers failed to show up. Today, the same situation occurred, and another customer faced the same issue. This not only wasted my time on two separate occasions but also reflects extremely poorly on their reliability and customer service.
The longest amount of time I have EVER had to wait for a deposit - on top of which when I disputed the deductions, found out I had missed phone calls after what must have been literally a few minutes after I made the 'dispute' action. Funny how quick they are to take money and so overly-leisurely on giving it back (like doing business with HMRC). After then requesting to pick up some important documents (DBS documents which, by their very nature, make it impossible to apply to have them sent anywhere else other than where you are currently living) I receive radio silence as though it's a form of bitterness. Basically very poor customer service.
Rented a property for 5 years from white gates, during this time I had to endure a broken window they refused to fix, broken shower, broken doors for numerous years of my tenancy. Along with multiple unlawful eviction attempts to try scare me into stopping complaining about repairs. This severely impacted my physical and mental health. All of which was answered with “if you have a problem with it then move out” would not recommend anyone rent a property from these. This was all until they just started hanging up the phone and ignoring emails if I contacted them. They wonder why it takes so long with years of domestic terrorism against me? Threats and unlawful eviction attempts. And now a 3rd attempt at changing the locks while im inside to lock me inside the property. Actual terrorists. You’re a disgrace to the business of letting agents.
Guys....worst service...very rude people....they gave me the house where equipments were even not working properly ...no one was available at the property to recieve and show me the property.....I suggest no one should purchase or rent home from whitegates....I won't even rate them with one star
Give them less if I could, they ensure they keep your deposit not matter what. They let properties that are up for sale too. Avoid at all costs.
