I'm sorry to say that I had a disappointing experience with this firm. I had an offer accepted on a flat purchase for 45 Hilmarton Road, N7 which they continued to show to prospective buyers, weeks after my offer being accepted. When I raised with Liam (the agent) and his management in writing, I did not receive a reply. Not a great experience and I would not recommend - these unethical practices lead to buyers being "gazumped" and wasting money on legal fees and surveys. Put me off of the company as a whole.
Be honest and act like proper Estate Agents !!!
Liam Sullivan from Drivers & Norris Islington branch booked an appointment with me for a viewing on at 12:30pm on 2 March. I didn't want him to wait so I arrived early at the property around 12:15pm. I waited for 45 minutes. Liam did not even turn up and did not call. I called the office at 12:40pm, The person answered the phone told he Liam JUST LEFT the office. I called the office again at 12:50pm, the person answered the phone said he will turn up soon. After the no-show, Liam called and claimed he was at the property all time (lie 1, the person in the office said he left late. If he was at the property, he would have called me) and claimed that I was at the wrong address (lie 2, trying to push away responsibility) I specifically checked the picture in the listing and made sure I was waiting at the correct entrance (56 Holbrooke Court). Liam Sullivan said he could wait if I came back to see him and there was nothing else he could do. He did not even apologise for not showing up for an appointment. I cannot believe how Drivers & Norris could hire a person with such a shockingly rude and arrogant attitude and dishonesty.
Between calling up regularly to check work had been completed after deadlines had passed, to chasing up phone calls that were never returned, I can honestly say that the majority of my dealings with this agency were ridden with stress. I would not recommend this agency.
Not professional at all. They left my flat full of mould for months and when I left they try to get for them 120 pound more. Horrible service and people
Worst company ever managed by people they don’t know their job. No professional, no helpful .. I ve got sick because in the flat where We used to live there was big quantity of mould and Nobody help us even if we got asked from fews months
An awful company to be managed by; - lack of engagement with residents - after a year of poor management increased their charges by 125% - a team that couldn’t manage their way out of an automatic door - finger pointing and blaming of others for management faults. Steer clear from this company at all costs.
To be completely honest, dealing with Sarah and James at Drivers & Norris has to be one of the worst experiences we've ever had as tenants. 1) Yelled at on the phone and accused of fraud (seriously?) without having a chance to explain that we were students, therefore not having to pay council tax (this was arranged with Islington council) 2) Coming into our flat with keys to conduct viewings, even when one of us was sick and explained that we were uncomfortable with them letting themselves in. 3) Not respecting our work and sleep hours to conduct viewings. 4) Arranging viewings with prospective tenants and then not showing up, leaving these people to ring our doorbell while being confused. 5) Threatening to give us a bad review with our next landlord if we didn't respect their viewings schedule completely. 6) Flat infested with clothes eating moths.
