Terrible service. Poor communication. Thieves- taking money from your account without your authorisation. Still waiting to recover £1200 from lost rent even though they had a deposit. Choose someone more professional unless you want to get fleeced

I am in a current dealing with the staff out there for a property for which we have paid the lettings administration fees. We are in a desperate situation since my sister needs to secure a property and is with a toddler. It was agreed that a date of the 12th of September will be doable provided that 6 months advance rentals are arranged. I have been emailing and calling them since yesterday to confirm that we have the funds available to pay. Usually there is either 1 or 2 people in attendance in office and they are all duty bound to his royal highness Ben who is the perhaps the most rude person I have ever come across as an estate agent. Rude/ abrupt conversations, hanging the phone down and being overly assertive are his key traits. I would really stay away from these letting agents as they are a very unprofessional bunch of people to work with. I do plan to take this matter up with the property ombudsman on the first available opportunity.

Really bad service. Rang the Manchester branch, they were supposed to get back, never did, when I rang back the same guy answered asked me what it was regarding, I started explaining, then at the end of 5 mins of explanation there no one listening, after which I hear a woman speak, then he comes back on and asks me to explain again to which I say I just did n he puts the phone down on me twice and then doesn’t pick up the phone. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Wouldn’t even give them 1 star.

Is it possible to leave any fewer stars? Worst I have had. Day after moving in the shower screen broke with the wind, and they didn't check if anyone got hurt but they asked us to pay to repair it. They didn't fulfill the changes before moving in, we found glasses just by moving the sofa, after a "professional cleaning". They rent to us and one month later they told us they'll sell the house (not suspicious at all this was their initial intention) and they charge us for check out fee when they were the ones that wanted us out. We had to fight for recovery of the deposit with pictures showing how we left the place in a much better state that they gave us and still kept part of the deposit. These are only example mixed with the arrogant attitude and useless responses. Estate agencies shouldn't be a reason to choose a flat, but in this case, it is, if you can choose, choose another.

The woman I talked to on the phone was unhelpful and her tone gave the impression that she couldn't care less about what she was doing. I got the impression that she was trying to put me off the properties I was inquiring about. Overall, it was a terrible service and I wouldn't hurry to contact them again!

Joke of an estate agents. Didn't provide us with any information prior to moving in to our property, most of which we had to find out via neighbours. We were told to report to Jess with any issues we have, and she never got back to us on almost all issues we raised. Terrible communication. Anytime you try and ring with an issue instead of emailing, you're met with "We'll get back to you on that." (They never got back to us). We waited months on end for little issues such as replacing transformers to take place due to their lack of communication. I couldn't be happier that our flat has been taken over by a new landlord. I am unable to speak for other Martin & Co branches, but the one on Liverpool Road is a shambles

Simply the worst estate / letting agents I ever had the displeasure of dealing with. The lethal combination of extortionate fees, disrespectful staff and horrendous service. Having rented property with different agencies over the years, Martin & Co, Central Manchester are easily the worst I've come across by a country mile - and that really is saying something. Please save your money, effort and precious time by AVOIDING them at all cost.

Absolutely awful service. If you don't want to deal with disrespectful staff, have your problems with the property last months when they could be easily sorted and been lied to in every single ocasion you manage to talk to the useless staff, please AVOID. I've never seen such a poor service from a letting agency, such a bad organisation and to make it worse it seems almost impossible to talk with an area manager to complain for the incompetence of the people you have the disgrace to deal with in this office. From the agents to the manager there, don't know who is worse. This is NOT a serious letting agency so please save yourself a few headaches and go with someone else, can't imagine you'll find a worse service elsewhere. If you have the chance to choose don't let Jess Miles deal with your contract, and if you have any problem and need to contact with Donna (the manager there) it won't do any good as she doesn't seem to care either. They'll be terrible with you and even when you point out the continuos mistakes from their end you have to see them laughing at your face and don't even have the decency of apologizing. Awful, terrible, rude, unprofessional in so many levels. AVOID.
