Terrible experience renting a house through Parkers tilehurst. Repairs not carried out in a timely manner, rude staff in their lettings team. No responsibility taken for tenants health and safety it’s all about protecting the landlords. Be wary when renting a property through Parkers and check who the landlord is if it is managed by them. Also put everything in writing if you do rent thought them. Anything verbal will be lied about and told it didn’t happen. Finally 3 years of stress, grief and upset is now over since we’ve moved away from Parkers!

I do not recommend. The only competent person there is Jayne. But she alone will not do anything on the scale of the incompetence of other employees. Everything was ok until I had to change my place of residence. They announced their visits 16 hours before the planned arrival, and when I do not agree to them, they would come with clients banging on the doors and windows for 20 minutes, and then write emails full of regret that they saw someone in the window (86-year-old grandmother who did not have idea what was going on and she was afraid that someone would want to break in). After moving out, they submitted to TDS false invoices for repairing the washing machine, issued by a plumber (living in this house before me), which I allegedly spoiled after 3 months of use. They collected money from my deposit for repairing it (despite the fact that I left them a new washing machine and sent the proof of purchase in the form of an invoice to the agency). I left the house on April 1, on April 6 I had an appointment for carpet washing and cleaning. On April 8, I received an email saying that everything is ok, but they are still asking to improve the garden, because the grass has grown back. So on April 13 I came with a gardener who left the garden in a better condition than I found when I moved in. On April 13 I also gave the keys, paying for pensions until April 24 and giving the possibility of early rent to new tenants. The check out report was conducted on April 29. They demanded £ 185 for a cleaning company, for dust and £ 185 for a gardener, because the grass had grown and weeds appeared, plus the cost of repairing an old washing machine, which is not really there, because I paid for removing the old. But since the agency claims, based on the documents presented, that they have repaired the old washing machine ... I could probably do nothing but show up at the previous house to collect my washing machine. TDS is not able to check the credibility of the invoices, so he advises me to take it to court. I'll do it anyway. But I advise you to avoid this agency if you don't want to fight a few months later to get your money back. Special if you are calm, don't want to agrue with people or you are imigrant. They will distroy you mentally.

Was unfortunate to do viewings with Charlie Arrowsmith a few times and be was grumpy and uninterested. Buying a house is not a walk in the park so I beg your pardon Charlie if I viewed a few houses and didn't put an offer.

Poor service to say the least. First things first I am quite happy to name drop a Mr Simon Gregory for having a terribly unprofessional and sarcastic attitude - I'd say he needs a serious review by his seniors and some training on how to do his job. After being accepted on a property from there on it was all under Parkers terms to suit their needs and their needs only. They tried extremely hard to rush the sale of the property where I hadn't even had a chance to book a survey in! Simple questions I had about the property which should have been communicated from Parkers to the Vendor were complexly ignored leaving me none the wiser. Parkers were also quick to get into contact with my solicitors even after I had asked them to hold off a week in doing so (which I got charged for thank you very much) it clearly wasn't a priority for them for me to even be able to arrange a survey for a house I was buying?! Commission chasers and poor salesmanship, sheer lack of any understanding of decent customer service. Resulted in myself withdrawing from the sale which I'm sure left a very unhappy vendor!

Appalling Tenant Service. Stay away

Dear Mr Moon. Rather disappointed by your comments. We have discussed your gripe and tried to explain from our point of view it is quite normal practice when leaving a property that it is professionally cleaned, as it was when you moved in, along with the carpets. It is cleary stated in your tenancy agreement which you signed (clause 7.2.10) that it is the tenants responsibility to have the property cleaned. Whilst I appreciate you say you had cleaned the property, it was certainly not done to a professional standard with food being left in the freezer, crumbs left all over the cooker and bathroom fitments heavily scaled. It is for this reason we are having to retain an element of your deposit to have the property professionally cleaned as per the signed tenancy agreement. Awful Tenant service

It was a short term let to cover a period we could not move home. The Check in was rushed and items missed, that on the check in were used to extract money from our deposit. Faulty items on check in that were picked out were promised to be fixed and never were, and the agent has hidden behind the fact the person dealing with us on check in has left and so 'cannot comment on something that was promised by his predecessor.Arrogant, cocky and unpleasant to deal with. Would advise not to rent through them.
