Stop ripping customers off and stop illegally entering peoples homes EDIT: As you've deleted the comments made between us I'll add them here where you can't delete. Wow that's the fastest response I've ever had from your crappy company. You've already investigated the matter in which I'm talking about and guess what you found your awful, rude co worker David innocent without evidence, unlucky for us we couldn't prove you guys wrong but since that horrible encounter we've installed a camera so if he tries his same tricks again and illegally enters my home again you'll be taken to the cleaners, duck. Oh and while you're here how about sorting out our hot water problem that we've been reporting for a year and a half? The hot water tank isn’t working and relying on the heating for hot water which doesn’t give us enough hot water to shower for more than 5 mins, 10 if you’re really lucky! Or how about the leaky hot water tank which has leaked through the ceiling and onto our new camera and broke it meaning we've had to replace it, never mind the horrific damage it's done to the ceiling itself?? Or how about the broken cooker you've left us with for the past 6 weeks with no correspondence letting us know what's happening?? This has all been reported multiple times on property file and all that happens some bloke comes round and fobs us off and nothing actually gets done. Absolutely disgraceful and as a company you should be ashamed.

Don't really stick to their word and always have to chase them up when problems occur !!!

I placed a holding deposit for a house which I didn’t even receive and it’s been almost 2 months and after many emails and calls I STILL havnt received the refund even though I was told many times I will be very soon. Not a good service at all. I know other companies that give a refund within days. I would appreciate a reply back and a straight answer whether as to I will be receiving a refund or not and whenever exactly this will be. Overall wouldn’t recommend

Horrible experience with David and team. Would never again consult them for renting properties. Their rents are higher and their service is appalling.

Without a doubt the most DIABOLICAL renting experience I have ever had. Martin and co are shambolic, their service is terrible and the staff are the most unhelpful individuals I have ever came across. To begin with when I viewed the property I was told the other tenants were proffessionals who were women and a mature student who was male which seemed ideal. Upon moving into the property I found out he was a convicted violent criminal. He had been kicked out of University for not disclosing his record and was being allowed to live in the property until his student finance ran out. I contacted Martin and Co about this to be told its 'none of my business who the other tenants are' which i find disgraceful. As a paying tenant and a young women; I have every right to know if someone who I am living under the same roof as compromises my safety. In the following three months he resided in the property he was often drunk and verbally abusive towards myself and other tenants. Maintenance reports were frequently ignored or dealt with ineffectively. For example our landlord bled the radiators and didn't increase boiler pressure, therefore we lost heating in the middle of January. Their solution was to provide 4 heaters, 2 of which didn't work and left 2 of us freezing cold. One of my housemates has thick mould grow up one wall in her room during the winter months which is clearly some kind of structural/ damp issue, their advice is to 'open a window'. They are quite frankly useless. The landlord constantly enters the property without giving notice which is a breach of the tenancy agreement.  Martin and Co do not care about this unproffessional and inappropriate behaviour. Also two days prior to me leaving the property I was putting some things in the bin when my groundfloor room door blew shut, leaving me locked out. I called Martin and Co as luckily I had my phone in my pocket, they told me I would have to walk to town to get some keys from them. I informed them I had no shoes or coat and it was a 20 minute walk to which they responded thats not our issue. Luckily I managed to open the door with other methods or I would of been locked out of my room for the forseeable future! I have been renting for 6 years both professionally and as a student and this is without a doubt the most disgraceful service I have ever recieved. DO NOT RENT WITH MARTIN AND CO

Took weeks for them to even bother to get poison for nice. Rude and unresponsive when we raised issues. Basement of house was mouldy and damp which emanated to other rooms. They claimed it didn't. Just a really bad company which ruined my time in Derby. Do yourself a favour and find another agent.
