So so disappointed. First they moved a tenant into new property I purchased without the landlords consent which almost led to sale falling through, and now they are not transferring the tenant’s deposit
Just purchased a flat with a tenant managed by Belvoir. We told Belvoir we want to manage the tenant ourselves and stop their management service. We asked for keys, inventory and deposit, but Belvoir refused to do this, making it difficult, asking their lawyers to check our legal documents, which is very silly because we completed the purchase 1 month ago and Belvoir themselves were the sellers agent. After 2 days they finally agreed to give the keys back, but refused to provide inventory photos as they now "don't have them", but they did a week ago when they wanted us to remain their client.
I would give no star if I could. The service they provide is seriously bad and unprofessional. Whenever you raised an issue, they will deal with it slowly or deny the responsibility. To be an agent, the most important and crucial thing is to help the tenant to solve their problem, and they failed to do it. Please be careful if you are considering renting a house with them.
Terrible estate agents - Numerous problems incurred since we were tenants. No heating for months, problems with beds etc. On top of this, it takes persistent phone calls and emails to get any response or to get things fixed. Probably the worst in Manchester - poor on every front
Irresponsible, unprofessional and appalling service. Take ages to settle simple issues of maintenance and repair, and they never accept responsibility for their delayed service. You need to call them at least 3 times a day for over a few weeks before they will take any action. Please be mindful when you are considering them to act as your agent whilst renting a property.
Belvoir doesn't even deserve the one star. Everyone is extremely unhelpful ignoring all issues related to our property. We don't even have hot water and have lived here for almost two months none of our problems have been fixed or even achknowledged. No one has returned our calls or replied to our emails. Would never rent from this agency again and wouldn't even recommend them to my worst enemy.
Be very wary when using this service. Lettings side took the down payment for a flat that had already been removed from the market. Then used this payment to secure a different flat, with an availability date near two weeks later than the one we wanted, without informing us. Only reason we found out was because we phoned the agent directly. Lettings agent then confirmed with us that we would be able to bring forward the move in date on several occasions. Then once we were passed over to the estates team we were told this was not possible, and there had been no communication between the lettings team and themselves regarding this. Person from the estates team was very unhelpful and advised us 'to contact the lettings agent' ourselves to confirm this. Dreadful customer service.
Rubbish agency. Don't rent anything with them. They don't care tenants. I rented a flat and every issue I had they said yes we are going to solve it and nothing. I want to say that Mr Shaz was the worst worker in that office, he said that is going to do it and then he did nothing, I called him I went to the office and he didn't solve my problem. Also be careful with the deposit they try to take money with NO PROOFS at all, they don't have any organization in the office, no historial about the things were broken in the past, nothing. Also when two weeks before I left the flat Jamie ( I think is this name..) entered in the property for two viewings in a day without my permission, that is not normal, they feel free to en enter in the property to have viewings when you are still living in the flat! Totally rubbish.
After turning up to a property to view, I received a call saying tenants would not let the estate agent in. Even after confirming 24 hr prior. So I left the property, 20 mins later I received another call saying tenants were now in and would I come back. I was very interested in the property so I did. When I arrived the estate agent who met me stank of weed and when we knocked on the door the tenants thought the viewing had been cancelled. Furthermore the house did not fit the description that was on the website or the downloadable materials. Will not be dealing with this branch again. Utterly shambolic service and complete lack of communication.
It's difficult to convey in words actually how terrible this agency actually are. After years of renting, I have never had to deal with such inefficient and rude customer service. You are not treated as a customer but as a massive inconvenience. When we moved in, the flat was filthy and had not been cleaned to anything close to a professional standard and the inventory did not reflect the condition of the items in the property. So much so, we had to amend it and send a folder of photographs into the office. Taz who did our checkout couldn't even be bothered to bring his own copy of this inventory with him... They will leave you with no adequate heating over the coldest months of the year. We reported that our heating was broken in November and it wasn't fixed until well into January.... We were passed from one staff member to another and this was only sorted when we complained to an area manager who happened to be in the office that day. They refused to fix lights that were hanging out of the ceiling with exposed wires in the bathroom. One of the only people who is helpful is Michael Boardman who seems to have to sort out the mess made by the other employees. Miraculously, every time you call the office, the staff member that you need to speak to is out the office/ in a meeting/ on the phone etc and they will never call you back. They make you feel like you literally have to harass them to get an answer to a basic question. The only quick response I ever witnessed from them is when they accused us of not paying the full rent (we had) but obviously when they want money they are straight on the phone. They didn't even have keys to our property and kept repeatedly booking viewings in for mid week, during the day without asking first when they were told one of us worked full time out of town and the other only worked from home on certain days. This meant they had to keep cancelling viewings for prospective tenants because they had assumed we could let them in. I would honestly avoid them at all costs, it is not worth the stress and hassle and time out of your life. Of course, issues arise in rented properties but they should be dealt with quickly and efficiently and not drag on for months at a time.
